The Classroom Platform ? - elledee2020 - 10-21-2021
Can someone who is in the program tell me what the learning platform is like? Is it like Sophia where you go through Units and read and/or watch videos then take an assessment? How are the lessons laid out? How are the assessments done? Can you just test through if it is something you are familiar with? Just trying to get a feel for what I would be signing up for. Thanks!

It's more like Sophia than anything else I've seen. You go through modules and complete quizzes and/or milestones. The Final Assessment isn't part of the learning platform unless it's an exam. Most are not exams they are papers/projects which you do on your own outside of the Strut Learning Platform.
No you can not test through any courses. You can complete PLAs but they require much more work than an UMPI course so no one there recommends them for YourPace students.
YourPace is competency based which means that you get to put your knowledge to use. It will help you move quickly through the course content and through your Final Assessment instead of spending 15 weeks on a class, you may spend 3 days or a week.
