alternate credits help please - Draconikx - 11-14-2021 Hi guys wondering if anyone knows whether credits from TESU that are earned through EdX Microbachelor's would be accepted by COSC? (https://support.edx.org/hc/en-us/articles/360051795894-Step-by-Step-Guide-How-to-Redeem-your-MicroBachelors-Certificate-for-credit) No clue if that would be considered RA credit or not but in theory should be since TESU is technically the credit providing institution. If anyone knows how this works help me out please lol RE: alternate credits help please - rachel83az - 11-14-2021 No, I don't think this would work at all. TESU will give you credit but, AFAIK, it shows as transfer credit. Meaning that the credit doesn't actually "come from" TESU. This makes it useless for a COSC degree. RE: alternate credits help please - carrythenothing - 11-14-2021 There's a picture of an example transcript about halfway down on a different edX support page, where the equivalent TESU credits are listed under "ASSESSMENT CREDITS". You can also see the MicroBachelor Programs that TESU has evaluated in a single table. RE: alternate credits help please - dfrecore - 11-15-2021 COSC only brings things in from original sources - so the edX credit is alt-credit, and won't work (COSC won't accept it at all as it's not from one of their providers listed). What you're thinking is called "credit laundering" for want of a better term. It's getting credit to go to a school for transcripting, and then passing it onto another school as if it came from the first school. And it doesn't work except under very limited circumstances. |
