Considering there seems to be demand for this school, I think it is time for us to develop a wiki SNHU Business Administration Degree plan.

SNHU Highlights:
1. SNHU student enrollment 135,000+
2. 100+ Bachelor's Degrees + large variety of other degrees to choose from
3. Cost per course $960 (lost cost compared to most schools)
4. Feedback is good. (write papers for each class & grading isn't hard)
5. 90 credits allowed to transfer in.
6. 18yr olds and international students accepted.
18yr olds can't go to WGU, UMPI, or PUG, so that another option would be good. TESU cost is around $8000 vs. $9600 for SNHU, and with a full Pell Grant, SNHU is only about $3000 per year.
The downside is that is there is no Study.com guide to how credits transfer in, so I propose making a degree plan using mostly SL and Sophia credits.

I think that's a good idea. I don't know much about SNHU myself. I know it became less popular around here when some free/reduced price tuition program was ended, though.
A quick poke about the SNHU Reddit shows that they do accept SDC credits. This document also says that they'll evaluate ANY ACE credit, which also opens up the possibility of Saylor. Perhaps someone could email them under the guise of an interested student or student's parent and possibly get more information that way.

I'm now confused about the 2nd EFAH requirement, which this person had "ENG-ELE English Elective" on their transcript. I assume that is Sophia Foundation of English though that's a 2 credit course.
The EHIS requirement "HIS200 - Applied History" I don't know if that is a 200 level history course or what? They didn't take either of Sophia's history courses.

Why do so many people assume folks will be eligible for the PELL grant? I know few people who are eligible especially adult students. This grant is income based which can be problematic for many people. It definitely was for me when I was college age and was somehow supposed to depend on my parents to help pay my tuition decades ago.

Sophia's new course isn't on the equivalent sheet though I added it to the degree plan since it might work.

In 2016, about 1/3 of community college students received Pell Grants with an average award of $3300.
The Pell Grant is income-based. Families with an income below 175% of the federal poverty level and single parents with an income below 225% of the poverty level will automatically be entitled to receive the maximum Pell Grant award.
The Pell Grant award goes by Expected Family Contribution (EFC) so it's not hard to figure out how much you can get. Just punching in some numbers, a family earning $60,000 may still be able to get 1/2 of the Pell Grant award. Free money is free money.

Agreed. I hate that it doesn't look at students income, as MANY students have parents who won't pay for college (or can't).
But going on and on about the Pell Grant here doesn't make a ton of sense, as it's not very applicable to most students here on this forum.

We're not community college students! I know PELL is income based. I said it was! Just because the government says it's those percentages doesn't mean that's the reality. Even at 18 years old I didn't get a PELL grant. Why? I had a part time job. And add in my parents income and forget it. My parents didn't give me a dime towards college. They wouldn't even give me the tax paperwork to file my FAFSA back then. Many of us on here today do not qualify for PELL grants so it's silly to say tuition is $8000 (or whatever number) AFTER the PELL grant. Just say what the tuition and fees are as many people do NOT qualify for these grants. International students don't qualify either.

Didn't say it was controversial. I simply asked why tuition is frequently posted with the PELL grant deducted. MANY students do not qualify for the grant. Even those that do don't have a true picture of what tuition is. Their situation can change and that can change the grant amount as well. Including it in the tuition also doesn't take into account the differences in academic years. Tuition increases as well. All I'm saying is why not just post what the current tuition is and leave the PELL grant out of it.
