Coursera certificates - rachel83az - 03-15-2022

Have you taken any of Coursera's ACE-recommended certificates and transferred them to a school? If you don't see the equivalency listed onĀ https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Coursera please report in to help future students!

UMPI has accepted 2 of the Google certs.

Google IT Support Cert comes in as COS 100 elective.

Google Data Analytics Cert comes in as BUS245.

PUG has Google's IT Support, Project Management, Data Analytics, and IT Automation w/ Python certs mapped out as transfer courses here: https://www.purdueglobal.edu/alternative-college-credits/it-certification-exams/

SNHU has Google's IT Support, Data Analytics, and IT Automation w/ Python certs mapped out as transfer courses here:

WGU accepts Google IT Support for: C182 Introduction to IT 4
and it also helps satisfy admissions requirements for some of the IT degrees.

I've got my evaluation from TESU today, and the Google PM cerficiate came in as:

MAN-235 Intro to Project Management
MAN-437 Effective Project Management
MAN-438 Mastering Project Management

All of them 3 credits courses.

There's also the Meta Social Media Marketing certificate - the Coursera cert is ACE recommended at 2cr LL in marketing, and if you took the certification exam from Meta (which may/may not be included in the Coursera course) that adds another 1cr LL in marketing. No clue how it transfers in anywhere (but I plan to figure out eventually).

That's better than I would have guessed. How was the difficulty level?

Even if it's not included, $150 for 3 credits isn't that bad for self-paced. Or $99 if you get the certificate free and have to pay for the exam.

Definitely better than I would have guessed, too. Too bad these don't fit into Business Core, but it's a great way for some BSBA students to meet UL requirements.

I did this course in lieu of the one from Saylor academy. That one was a nightmare and looked like it was made for some 90s style automotive project management instead of what's in use at tech companies today.

Since I work in a "modern agile environment", I did not look at the material and went straight for the quizes and assignments.

There were quite a few assignments, but all of them had detailed steps of exactly what you need to do, no original thinking was required. It was just typical busywork.

What was a bit disheartening were the peer reviews. Quite a few people submitted empty documents, or nothing at all, and even begged on the forum for reviews.

One more thing to note: The course is entirely doable in the free trial period.

Oh, the replies above give me hope that my certificates will be accepted by my school and I didn't waste time...

Which certificates did you take and what school are you trying to transfer them to?
