Purdue University Doctor of Technology Program - JTP - 04-10-2022 It has been a little while since I posted on Degreeforum, but I wanted to pop back in to say I was admitted to Purdue University (main campus, not Global) for their Doctor of Technology program. My Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Masters was accepted from WGU as transfer credits. I'll post a link to the program in case anyone is interested, but at a high level it is kind of like an online technical MBA targeted for CTO/CIO types with a technical focus to transfer in from a masters imo. Program URL: https://polytechnic.purdue.edu/degrees/doctor-of-technology I should note that unlike WGU and other graduate programs this is not accelerated or relatively affordable. For out of state tuition even with 30 credits coming in the remaining 60 would cost about $75,000 (not including any books and fees). I would not pay for something like this out of pocket as I don't think to ROI would pan out much more than my Masters...but I was also awarded the DoD SMART Scholarship which will cover all costS. Scholarship URL: https://www.smartscholarship.org/smart This post is less of a, "Check out this new affordable/quick program" and more of just wanting to let the community know I was able to apply and receive both of these opportunities with my Charter Oak and WGU degrees. One for one years of working for the DoD to “pay back” the scholarship. I gave Uncle Sam many years of my life. Don’t know if I would want to give them more lol |
