ACE Google PM Certification - Samus477 - 04-13-2022
Does anyone happen to know how UMPI brings in the ACE approved Google Project Management certification for the YourPace Program? ACE recommends Google Project Management for (3) LL and (6) UL for a combined 9 credits. Since Project Management is a concentration course for the BLS-Management Minor, I wonder if they would count the ACE UL credit recommendations as well.
This is how ACE distributes the certification:
- Lower-Division Baccalaureate 3 introduction to project management
- Upper-Division Baccalaureate 3 project management
- Upper-Division Baccalaureate 3 Agile project management

I did not see the Google PM certificate come into UMPI when ACE was a provider we could view in the transfer database. If it does transfer in, you'll probably get some business or general elective credits out of it. You really want to take BUS141 at UMPI if you're minoring or majoring in PM because you'll use that template you build for the project in BUS141 again in BUS400 and 401. Just because that's how ACE distributes a certification is meaningless to many colleges because they don't have courses with those names or even at that level.
