Practice test level of difficulty - thatbrian - 05-20-2008

I am taking my first CLEP on Friday after 3 weeks of study. I have taken practice tests from: College Board, REA and Peterson's.

My score on the College Board practice test is at 70% but REA and Peterson's I am between 43% - 56%

Should I postpone this exam, or is the College Board test an accurate representation of the actual test?

Thanks

I actually scored 7 points higher on the CLEP for Managment than I did on the practice test, but I am not sure that I am a good example.

I wouldn't base it on Peterson's, I think they are much harder than the actual CLEP test and the IC material is much more like what is on the actual test, so if you have the IC material down your good to go.

When I took my first CLEP I didn't know about IC yet. It was Educational Psych and I studied ONLY using the Peterson's tests...when I sat down to take the CLEP 10 questions in I freaked out because nothing was familiar, the formating was different and the questions weren't even close. Thankfully I managed a 61 but I think that's only because I'm a Psych major.

For the next two CLEP's I used IC only to study and they were spot on. I took the Peterson's tests and scored in the 50's and got a 70 and 63.

The American Lit was on my own studying as there is no IC material for it.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll do fine!
