Feeling grateful for all of the insights I've gotten here in the DegreeForum and affiliated websites.
I started my journey re-looking into WGU a year ago, then found WGU Academy, then came across the DegreeForum & https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Degree_Forum_Wiki areas - and changed course for an UMPI plan.
Have been following much of the recommendations that apply to my situation - (having taken 1st college course in 1983) -
- November-February. Sophia.com for many courses. (including taking two vacation weeks in December to focus 100% on the courses)
- January: Clackamas Community College 1 credit library course credit (just to ensure i had a recent physical school credit) (free)
- January - CSM Certificate for credit. (SeeMore Impact Labs) (free)
- March: Pierpont Community & Technical College for the Board of Governor's AAS/business (free)
- Spring: 2 Start at UMPI -three courses completed
- Summer - back to Sophia for Spanish 1
- Summer 2 - UMPI two courses completed
- Fall 1 UMPI two courses completed
- Fall 2 - UMPI - two in progress.
- Winter break - planning to take BIO 105 at Study.com
- May 2023 - planning graduation after completing the two courses am in now, and the five more I need. (BABA / Leadership/Management

P.S., I did start an ASU online IT course late last year, but the time investment for the credit wasn't good ROI. Also completed three of the cyber courses at the TEEX program - Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service in December but I couldn't get them fully into Credly for the credit. Credly was a great find as well, and helped with getting some Dale Carnegie courses into their system, to export to UMPI for credit. ASU, TEEX, CSM and Credly were all also "finds" here at DegreefForum - https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Degree_Forum_Wiki

Is there a reason you're only completing 2 classes a session at UMPI? I ask because you're initially enrolled for 2 courses per session, but you can add more as you complete them. So if you finish class 1, you email your academic advisor and ask them to add another class. I have seen a few people not be aware that they could add more classes or how to do it.

Hi, thanks for all your info on this site, and for checking in with me; yes, am aware of more than two per term; excepting my first term when I completed three courses, am currently only able to get through two at a time.

No worries! I just wanted to let you know you can take more than 2 classes. I've seen a few people on other platforms who didn't realize that they could do more than 2 classes. Good luck with your studies!
