Anyone concentrating in Accounting at TESC - barbeque22 - 06-11-2008
I just applied to TESC. I haven't taken any courses lately as I have been trying to adjust to being a mother. I am ready to go back to school. I was wondering if anyone had taken any of the accounting classes online at TESC and if so how they went. I am really interested in testing out of some classes to finish my degree quicker. I am extremely nervous about taking my first clep, (Intro to Mgmt) and am worried that I might fail. Hopefully it isn't a very difficult one!
Also does anyone know if TESC is easy on transfer credits? I am eager to see which of my credits they will accept.
I currently have taken 51 credits at umuc or montgomery college:
English Comp
intro to lit
american lit
intro to business
business statistics
biology 1
chemistry 1
microbio
anatomy & physiology
intro to psych
intro to music
personal finance
calc 1
financial accounting
managerial accounting
microeconomics
phys ed (1 credit)
Hopefully they all will transfer.
One last thing....how long does it generally take to hear back about financial aid?

TESC should take all your credits. You will do fine on that CLEP, I hear it's one of the easier ones and seems as if you have taken some business classes already, they should overlap some. As for financial aid, they can be slow. If you are needing it sooner, give them a call and they will process it faster. Especially if they have received all your forms and such.
