Excelsior BS Criminal Justice degree plan - new2this - 02-27-2023

Anyone have a degree plan for a bachelors in criminal justice from Excelsior?

Excelsior requires 30 UL credits for all of their degrees. None of SDC's CJ courses count as UL at Excelsior. None of Coopersmith's CJ courses are UL. If you want a CJ degree, your best bet is going to be UMPI.

My friend is already enrolled at Excelsior.  I am trying to convince him to get a degree in Liberal Arts.  He needs a bachelor's degree for promotion.  His employer doesn't care what the degree is as long as it is a bachelor's degree.

Yeah, in that case, either he switches to UMPI or gets a Liberal Arts degree. CJ isn't going to be fast or affordable from Excelsior.

Excelsior BSLA is my recommendation as well, the friend can take CJ courses towards the degree if they like for interest purposes. Their best bet is to get as many ACE/NCCRS credits transferable to the BSLA and lastly, just complete the Info Lit, Cornerstone, Capstone. Going this route will maximize the cost, energy, time and provide a better ROI/Value in the long run... To get a better idea of their situation, I really suggest having them fill in the template/last post addendum of the Degree Planning Advice thread...

Basically, I've been posting the link on almost every post/thread reply in the Degree Planning Advice for the last year or more... The easiest way to find it is, within my signature, it's one of the last two links... You should start a thread of your own with these info, so we know what you're looking for and what your scenario is.
