MBA without a degree? Possible to transfer credits from Masters towards Bachelors? - FM1 - 04-03-2023 Hi everyone I am in my late 30s and have been working in Project and Programme Management for over 16 years now. I don't have a degree but was able to work my way up to a Director position through a lot of hard work and graft. However, I feel like I've now hit a ceiling and am limited in career options and progression as I never obtained a degree. Also, not having a degree is a massive chip on my shoulder. So with that in mind, I'm considering purchasing the 2 x Masters Degree package from ENEB. Will it be possible to transfer credits from the two Masters degree (once completed) towards a Bachelors? Alternatively, is there a faster way to get a Bachelors instead of getting 2 x Masters and transfering the credits towards a Bachelors? I'm a dual national so I can transfer the credits to either a UK or Australian university. RE: MBA without a degree? Possible to transfer credits from Masters towards Bachelors? - KSoul - 04-03-2023 Look through the ENEB Master Thread. Scroll down to @michaeladsmith2 where he lists his experience in detail: *TESU: They accepted my ECE Report as is and added the 50 credits to my already transferred credits. So I currently have 88 credits with TESU's Adult Degree Completion Program. Just be mindful of TESU's Residency policies. You'll need to read through the TESU Thread for more info. Excelsior: I currently have 45 credits with EU. However, after speaking with them about ECE and ENEB, EU DOES NOT accept the ECE Course-by-Course Report, but rather you have to pay the $335 for the ECE Subject Analysis Report. (When you go to the ECE website and order your report, once you choose Excelsior as the recipient, your ONLY option will be the Subject Analysis Report). Excelsior also informed me that they don't shave credits like ECE. The 2.5 credits that ECE evaluates for ENEB would be accepted by Excelsior as a full 3.0 semester credits, and applied to the equivalent EU course at the Bachelor's Degree level. This is why I am doing 4 - 5 ENEB Masters Degrees to eventually complete 32 ENEB Modules (32 x 3 = 96), order the ECE Subject Analysis Report, and send it to Excelsior. ECE's Subject Analysis Report for Excelsior University Cost: $15.00 - Report sent to you $275.00 - Subject Analysis Report $45.00 - Report sent to Excelsior ($30 for Report, $15 USPS Mail) = $335.00 RE: MBA without a degree? I was wondering if people had a similar experience with either a UK or Australian university. One member - Jacky Liu - had posted the same question and I believe he was looking ito it, but he hasn't posted any updates this year. RE: MBA without a degree? Possible to transfer credits from Masters towards Bachelors? - allvia - 04-04-2023 UMPI for a 'BSBA Project Management' (or their 'BLS in Project Management') utilizing Sophia credits- https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/University_of_Maine_at_Presque_Isle RE: MBA without a degree? Possible to transfer credits from Masters towards Bachelors? - mohelena02 - 04-04-2023 I was also going to suggest UMPI PM program. I was in a similar spot to you, in my 30s and felt like my career had stopped advancing due to lack of degree. I started my journey in 2021 and haven't looked back, now I am on my way to a Ph.D. this fall. If you want to start with the MBA from ENEB (if you can) go for it, but the BA will give you a great base for everything else. RE: MBA without a degree? Possible to transfer credits from Masters towards Bachelors? - rachel83az - 04-04-2023 If you get MBA first and THEN a Bachelor's, people may wonder. It's kind of unusual and they may think that you didn't proofread your CV very well or that you're just lying or something along those lines. You may face discrimination for not going in the "traditional" order. Getting a Bachelor's from UMPI, then continuing on to ENEB or even a different MBA elsewhere is most likely to give you the positive outcome you seek. RE: MBA without a degree? Possible to transfer credits from Masters towards Bachelors? - davewill - 04-04-2023 If you spend some time reading this board, you will find a number of accelerated paths to getting a bachelor's degree. It's pretty much our mission. I think it's safe to say that you can probably get the equivalent credit using one of those paths faster than doing 2 Master's programs and transferring the credits back. RE: MBA without a degree? Did you start from scratch or did you transfer credits across? Any chance you have a study plan I could take a look at? RE: MBA without a degree? Possible to transfer credits from Masters towards Bachelors? - mohelena02 - 04-04-2023 I wrote about it in this thread TAMUC Org Leadership - 9 Months, $3,394, Starting from ZERO. I started from scratch, in the thread I mention how I could've finished faster if I had not switched courses midway through my degree. I went to TAMUC because it was very cheap for in state students, however I would have done the UMPI BLS in PM otherwise. That wiki page tells you all the classes you can take in Sophia and Study to accelerate. |
