Modern States Issues - GameSlinger - 08-11-2023
I have previously used ModernStates to study for and cover the expense of several CLEP tests. Now that I am trying to go back and use it to study for some PreCalculus and Calculus, I am having errors logging in. I was just successfully logged in 2 weeks ago, so not an issue of my account being expired/deleted. So far I have tried 2 separate computers, cleared my cache, and tried for an alternate location.
Anyone else having issues or ideas for a work around.

I just tried logging in and it's the same. Can't login; database connection cannot be established or whatever.
edX is apparently having issues; logins yesterday didn't work properly. You could log in, but you couldn't see your dashboard. This seems to have been resolved, but the same/similar issue could be plaguing ModernStates. I believe that ModernStates and edX use the same backend, but I don't know if ModernStates is on its own server or if they're on edX's servers. Unfortunately, until this is fixed, there's not much you can do beyond contacting ModernStates about the issue. Ya, it's FUBAR.
The site was hacked or a bad update was done.
Be patient, they'll likely get it fixed in about 12 hours or less.

@GameSlinger, It's not something on your end, nor an account issue. You'll have to wait for it to be fixed, hopefully within a few hours or at most the next day...
