XAMK diploma to UMPI? - Olivia4826 - 10-08-2023 Hi! Has anyone tried to transfer the Higher education diploma in tourism from XAMK to UMPI? I'm curious to know as what they would accept it, and if it's even worth transferring since the evaluation fee is somewhere around 200$. Ps. Do they even accept ACEI evaluations? RE: XAMK diploma to UMPI? - rachel83az - 10-08-2023 They'll accept NACES or AICE members. AECI is an AICE member, so it'll be fine. Probably mostly electives, but it depends on what the evaluation actually says. RE: XAMK diploma to UMPI? - bjcheung77 - 10-08-2023 Yes, that's correct, as long as any NACES or AICE member is accepted by UMPI, they'll get an evaluation completed and you can then transfer them in... Here's a thread post you may want to review, it also links to the sister board: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Finland-ECTS-WES-Evaluation-possible RE: XAMK diploma to UMPI? - ss20ts - 10-08-2023 Is it worth paying for an evaluation for what will be general education credits if accepted? Or do you spend $200 on Sophia or Study and earn credits which we know will transfer and how they transfer in? I'm contemplating on same (except not XAMK but Metropolia), there are some cases where it's worth considering it: - if one has an affinity for the tourism field anyway - if one wants to (re)use those same ECTS for further studies in Finland (or elsewhere) - perhaps might be cost efficient in some cases, as it's pay once and study as long as you wish vs. Sophia's pay per month |
