Criminal Justice UMPI - Cocolisa1 - 11-29-2023

Is anyone taking any CRJ classes? If so, what has been your experience? I'm asking to get feedback on teachers if possible. thanks

You'd do better to join the UMPI YourPace Discord. There's a whole channel for this degree on there.

I know but doesn't seem many take CRJ classes  Smile Thus the reason I'm asking here

There's a whole channel for CJ and people are posting on there all the time. There's not a ton of CJ students.

Did you ever get information about the CJ program I’m starting in Spring and would like info as well I can’t find much about classes or the teachers either. I also joined the discord

It’s not a super popular degree because it’s pretty niche and in general not in demand market wise.

When I did ROTC in college we would always joke that the cadets who wanted to just commission and max out their GPA points did CJ or liberal studies. Even then the degree was sort of obscure.

Another option if you're into it is to do a minor in CJ instead of a major, you can do the BABA of your concentration or a BLS with a different minor or two.

RE: Criminal Justice UMPI - LevelUP - 12-27-2023

A psychology degree is similar to CJ and you could do a psychology degree with a minor in CJ.

Or, if you treat UMPI like an all-you-can-eat buffet, you could do a double major in business and CJ with a minor in psychology, history, political science, and English. hehe.

It's pretty tempting to add-on extra majors or minors since they are pretty easy and cheap to get.

Do you think it's possible to do a Double Major CJ + Psycho? How it would be named? BA i CJ and Psychology?

Yes, you can double major in CJ and Psych. You'll earn a BA in CJ and Psych. If you want 2 degrees, you'd have to complete 2 graduate, then apply for the second one. This would take longer - much longer as you'd have to wait a whole term and sit around twiddling your thumbs waiting. You also wouldn't be able to use financial aid for the second degree if that matters.
