Lots of random credits, (176!) need a BS or BA in Business - LoveThePNW - 12-23-2023

Hello,

I have a boatload of random credits. I need a Bachelors in Business, and need help finding out which school will allow be to do this with the least amount of classes remaining. I currently have an AAS in Criminal Justice from the Community College of the Air Force. I applied to WGU and they took 60 of my credits. Excelsior took 90. I have completed 40 credits at Sophia in the last month, so can do those quite fast if I need more. Budget and time to study are not an issue. I prefer self paced and testing.

I have attached a spreadsheet with my current credits, and would really appreciate any guidance here. I am 43 and in Oregon working full time from home with two school aged children.

Thanks

Your Location: Oregon
Your Age: 43
What kind of degree do you want?: Business Degree, concentration doesn’t really matter
Current Regional Accredited Credits: See attached excel

Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: See attached excel

Any certifications or military experience? I have CCAF Degree from the Air Force (AAS in Criminal Justice) The credits with ACE recommendations are listed in the attached Excel.

Budget: Cost is not a factor
Commitments: Full time WFH job that is very flexible – plus two school age kids
Dedicated time to study: I have several hours a day I can use for coursework
Timeline: Finishing the courses required for the degree as fast as possible would be ideal. In the next quarter would be preferable.
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: Company will pay up to 5K per year

With the courses I see there, I would probably suggest the UMPI Management degree but there are others that are much better at this than I am. I also know that BJChueng will want you to complete the form and addendum so that they have a better understanding of what you have and can do.

(12-23-2023, 06:10 PM)GameSlinger Thanks, I have updated the original post with the form and addendum info. I put credits in an excel sheet as there as it was much easier to keep it organized. Wrote:

Hmm, I would skip Excelsior in favor of UMPI and get their BABA Management & Leadership or their BABA Project Management & Info Systems concentrations.  Another option is the TAMUC BAAS Organizational Leadership for the same price... Check out the WIKI for their degree plans here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sample_TAMUC_BAAS_Organizational_Leadership_Degree_Plan
