Help TESU admission - Honguito - 05-23-2024 Hi everyone, I apply to TESU at the beginning of this month as an international student. I already sent my TOEFL score and my application status says is Completed. But I still haven't received anything from TESU and I can't log in to myedison. I keep sending emails to admission but they just keep replying with the guidelines link and not taking my case and helping. Does anyone have experience and know how to solve it? Thanks RE: Help TESU admission - ItsNeverTheLionsYear - 05-23-2024 We'll need more information before being able to provide much helpful advice. * What specific country are you from/currently located in? * How old are you? * What previous college experience (if any) do you have? * What previous other educational experience do you have? (Do you have the equivalent of high school diploma or GED, essentially) RE: Help TESU admission - Honguito - 05-23-2024 Thanks, I'm 33 from South America living in Taiwan. I have 3-year degree from South America(is more like an Associate Degree they gave before the bachelor's). The university doesn't send seal transcripts or anything so is quite difficult to send it over to an evaluation service. I asked TESU they replied, "you can proceed without having any transcripts submitted into TESU.". I kept asking them what I missing and how to proceed but not luck in getting a real answer. I'm an experienced SWE trying to get a BACS to get into the OMSCS at Georgia Tech. Your Location: Taiwan Your Age: 33 What kind of degree do you want?: Computer Science - BACS Current Regional Accredited Credits: none yet but I already study for some TECEPs, just waiting admission. Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: none yet, waiting for admission to organize this part. Any certifications or military experience? no Budget: 8k Commitments: work from home and I enjoy studying Dedicated time to study: At least 25. Currently doing way more Timeline: next year Tuition assistance/reimbursement: no RE: Help TESU admission - bjcheung77 - 05-23-2024 @Honguito, Welcome to the board, great intro post and updated info, it's a start to get the ball rolling, but it's still missing most of the required info from the addendum and template. It's best to provide a bigger overview of your scenario, please update us with the info asked for here, the more details the better we can assist you further: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-New-to-DegreeForum-How-this-Area-works RE: Help TESU admission - Honguito - 05-24-2024 @bjcheung77, updated thanks RE: Help TESU admission - RJ77 - 05-24-2024 If they keep sending you canned email replies, your best bet is to contact them via phone. RE: Help TESU admission - ItsNeverTheLionsYear - 05-24-2024 They're right that you shouldn't need a transcript, although it might be good to have an unofficial one on hand. I second the recommendation to call. You can find the number to call on this page: https://www.tesu.edu/admissions/apply-undergrad RE: Help TESU admission - Honguito - 05-31-2024 Thanks, everything is fine now. I got admitted. I'm trying to finalize my plan based on the wiki. I will take the following TECEP exams to earn 15 RA credits: - College Algebra - Computer Concepts and Applications - Network Technology - Principles of Statistics - Applied Liberal Arts Mathematics For my five courses at TESU, I need one more to add. I'm planning to take: - Capstone - Cornerstone - COS-2050 Python Programming - CIS-351 Software Engineering I need an easy course for the fifth one. I'm considering taking Artificial Intelligence (COS-4510). RE: Help TESU admission - LevelUP - 05-31-2024 (05-31-2024, 06:06 AM)Honguito Wrote: Thanks, everything is fine now. I got admitted. I recommend PHI-130 Introduction to Critical Reasoning. It's easy and fun, and there are no books to read. Here is a list of easy courses https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Thomas_Edison_State_University RE: Help TESU admission - ItsNeverTheLionsYear - 05-31-2024 Good luck with the network technology TECEP. It is notoriously brutal. |
