What's going on with Health 302 is that they are removing the exam entirely. Instead, you need to complete written assignments. Study.com has several courses like this. I have looked at literature courses that have no final exams, just assignments, and I think some of the other health courses are also like this.
In general, written assignments are more time-consuming to complete than a proctored final exam. So you will need to consider that trade-off if saving time is important to you.

So I will warn you, when I have started threads to crowd source stuff for the wiki, it hasn't always produced usable results.
