Graduating Soon! Ask me questions! - TaraD2020 - 03-04-2025 Hi All! I am going to be graduating in April from UoPeople, so I wanted to start a thread for interested individuals to ask me questions. A few points: My degree is BSBA I am a transfer student and I brought in a combo of Sophia and Coursera credits to hit the 90 max I took 10 courses at UoPeople I did receive a partial scholarship, so I paid less per course assessment It took me exactly 1 year from starting to complete the 10 courses (2 per term) My Total Cost is $1,310 (if you add Sophia, its $1,448.20) I have a degree plan for the Bachelors of Science, Business Administration that I can share, but it is MY path, so it may not be exactly what you would follow. Ask Away! RE: Graduating Soon! Ask me questions! - bjcheung77 - 03-04-2025 Great stuff! I've made this a sticky thread for people to review. I really do appreciate your help and being active on the UofPeople posts/threads. RE: Graduating Soon! Ask me questions! - TaraD2020 - 03-04-2025 (03-04-2025, 06:39 PM)bjcheung77 Wrote: Great stuff! Also, you may want to use UoPeople in the headline for the thread as well. They do alot of social media marketing referring to the school under that name, as opposed to University of the People. RE: Graduating Soon! Ask me questions! - Ares - 03-08-2025 How did you like the ChatGPT experience? RE: Graduating Soon! I’ve encountered people who actually do the work, as I am in upper level courses. Regardless, you get out what you put in. Chat is at EVERY university. My niece goes to Sacred Heart and literally uses chat in her courses. RE: Graduating Soon! Ask me questions! - wolfch - 03-12-2025 (03-04-2025, 06:32 PM)TaraD2020 Wrote: Hi All! Also to know which courses you took with UoPeople and which one with Sophia and which one with Coursera. You got a "partial scholarship". Did you only paid 90 $ less? On https://www.uopeople.edu/programs/online-bachelors/business-administration/ the fee is 140$ per course assessment. So the regular prize should be 1400$? RE: Graduating Soon! Also to know which courses you took with UoPeople and which one with Sophia and which one with Coursera. Here is the copy of my degree plan. Transfers are noted. Be advised that there are now two additional courses available on Sophia, which were not when I transferred my credits, so I took them as part of my 10 remaining courses. Also note, you can transfer up to 20 Sophia courses for FREE, and the remaining 10 courses, regardless of source, are $17 per course. Regarding transfers from Coursera... you MUST complete the entire specialization, for credits to be considered. You cannot just do one course. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mgYUl9ITPM9fdX67aJHF2PAyMmeLojncCtl8r95KMac/edit?usp=sharing I pay $100/course, so the $40 deduction per is considered a partial scholarship. My degree total included course fees before scholarship, course fees after, transfer fees and application fee. RE: Graduating Soon! Ask me questions! - jg_nuy - 03-12-2025 Your degree plan file is locked, you may want to open to read-only access. RE: Graduating Soon! Is that supposed to give people confidence that the school is legit? That, "you have encountered people who actually do the work". Shouldn't every attending student have to do the work? I have an education for nearly 90% less than others, and it was 100% worth it. Again, you get back what YOU put in. At other CBE programs you don’t even interact with students or see their work.(03-08-2025, 03:47 PM)TaraD2020 Wrote:(03-08-2025, 03:08 AM)Ares Wrote: How did you like the ChatGPT experience? |
