B.A CS at TESU - Andrew1320 - 03-23-2025

I registered with TESU but was unaware I would only receive two free transcript evaluations. I intended to enroll in one TECEP to maintain transcript evaluations; however, I've seen in other posts that I would need to complete the TECEP to receive another course evaluation. I aim to complete all courses through SDC and EDX, then enroll in TESU to complete the capstone. I want reassurance that my SDC and Sohpia courses will transfer. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Can you find this reference? I've only seen the opposite recommended, i.e., do NOT complete the TECEP so that you can sign up for it again the next year if necessary, and it won't count against your GPA.

RE: B.A CS at TESU - LevelUP - 03-24-2025

If you don't mind me asking, how many terms did you attend WGU? What was your major, and why did you decide to drop out?

You can take the Cornerstone course through edX if you only want to take the Capstone at TESU, then pay the residency waiver fee. It would only be slightly cheaper to enroll in a flat-rate term to avoid paying the waiver fee.

I suggest taking SDC courses in this order:
TESU Operating Systems| SDC= Computer Science 105: Introduction to Operating Systems
TESU Management Information Systems (UL CS) | Business 303: Management Information Systems
TESU System Analysis & Design I (UL CS) | SDC= Computer Science 302: Systems Analysis & Design
TESU Database Management (UL CS)   |Computer Science 303: Database Management
TESU Data Structures | SDC= Computer Science 201: Data Structures & Algorithms
TESU Computer Architecture | SDC= Computer Science 306: Computer Architecture

This is what I found.

I moved 3 times within the 5 terms I was enrolled at WGU, I also never knew there was other options like sohpia and SDC.
Thanks for the suggestion on which SDC classes to take.

I've been following the BACS degree plan, It would be nice to transfer what credits I've had earned recently so I can see my progress with TESU.

Welcome to the board, you don't really need to enroll at TESU to see where you're at, you can get your evaluation as is, create your own spreadsheet by following the WIKI plan and what you have on the evaluation. You'll know what classes are left to take and go accordingly, provider by provider, keep working until you're at the final residency credits (or waiver fee).

Basically, Sophia.org first, then Study.com next, if you need coupons/discount codes, you can review the respective threads or click my bio/signature link for Study.com, you'll then keep updating that spreadsheet of yours. If you want, link us to that spreadsheet as a viewable file (not editable) on your Onedrive or Google Drive and someone can comment on recommendations or updates.

RE: B.A CS at TESU - davewill - 03-24-2025

You don't need it on an official transcript in order to know it was accepted and how it will fit into your degree plan. The online eval is quite sufficient for that. So go ahead and follow the recommendation to register for the 1cr TECEP to begin and maintain enrollment.

If, for some reason, you really DO need an official transcript, you can then either take a TECEP, or a course, or you can pay the extra fee for the individual learning account.

Thank you, I've created a spreadsheet with equivalent courses and have followed the WIKI accordingly.

It's good to know that SDC has coupons/discount codes!

Definitely this! The referenced thread is about banking credits without a degree. You're going for the degree, so that thread doesn't really apply.
