Shout out to Dustin on the other channel - Charles Fout - 04-09-2025
Though I no longer participate on the other channel, I do check on the "Recent Posts" from time to time. As I've mentioned before, I am delighted to see Dustin is enjoying the Great Books of the Western World by his own method. He posted that he is currently reading the Iliad.I think that's awesome! I am enjoying reading and discussing the Great Books with my cohort in the Basic Program. To me the discussions add value to the time invested in the readings. While reading Homer, In addition to my cohort discussions, I really enjoyed Erica's commentary on Homer. I think she's fun and provocative https://youtu.be/3_CuVdOzr4Y?si=xC9hR0PFRTJrdNWV
I recommend her channel to Dustin and anyone else interested in Homer and Greek Mythology.

My goodness, the first thing that came to mind when I read this was, Homer Simpson! For some reason, I thought of the Simpsons out of the blue! And I've not watched that for so long! <runs for the exit>

That put a smile on my face! Circa 1990, I used to look forward to each new Simpsons episode.
