Help me finalize my BS degree path - Mross506 - 04-21-2025 I have will have a completed associates degree soon from a community college in Technical Studies. (Essentially I have a mix of Electrical & Engineering courses) I was planning on completing my Business/Project Mgmt degree online thru my local state university @ $300 a credit hour and just work to maximize CLEP testing but after discovering this forum, I have really begun to second guess that path. I am working in my field as a mid-level manager and need my degree to continue climbing the ladder in the future. Generally they want an Engineering/PM/Construction Mgmt degree but I have not been able to find one with a fast track process.
RE: Help me finalize my BS degree path - bjcheung77 - 04-21-2025 Welcome to the board, great initial post to get the ball rolling, but you need to provide a bigger picture of your scenario by filling in the addendum and template with the info requested here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-New-to-DegreeForum-How-this-Area-works If you have 40+ technical credits, you can do the UMPI BAS with a minor or two/three of your choice along with the 3-4 classes that can go into the MAOL later. Not everyone needs a business admin degree, the organizational leadership is a subset of business admin anyways... What is the benefit that you receive with this higher cost? I do like that they have a Project Mgmt degree. The most important item actually is to fill in the addendum and template as I don't know your budget, commitments, etc. I'm not sure what you mean by UMPI being expensive, as that's a bit confusing on that one point alone... Fast Track Bacholers in Technology Management - Mross506 - 05-02-2025 Hello! I have a completed associates degree in Technical Studies and would like to turn it into a Bachelors in a program related to Engineering Management, Technical Management, Operations Management, Project Management, etc I would take as many Sophia/SH courses as possible before enrolling and completing the degree. Which college would be a good option for me? Who will work with me to convert work experience in place of coursework? (I have 15 years as an operations manager, 6 sigma certifications, PMP cert, etc) Keeping cost reasonable is an obvious perk. Thanks! RE: Help - Fast Track Bachelors - Technology Management - bjcheung77 - 05-02-2025 Basically, I have merged your thread, bumping this to the top, and also giving people more info from your previous posts...
