RE: ENEB New Master Thread - PearsonOTHMQualifi7654 - 09-17-2025 I really like Unimarconi and wanted to enroll in one of the programmes. I just completed a 2nd ENEB Master's, and this deal seemingly appeared just in time. I would have done this if I had not already enrolled in a UK MBA programme as I am nearing its completion in the coming months. When I saw this email from ENEB announcing the agreement with Unimarconi, I got very excited however, there are some notable requirements, as the deal is only for those who already hold a Bachelor's Degree: Unimarconi would not accept an ECE Evaluation of the ENEB/Ui1 MBA as an equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. In Italy, the CIMEA evaluation is valid, and/or a declaration of value initiated at an Italian consulate The transfer from ENEB to Unimarconi requires:
Not even sure if those would be enough for Unimarconi, as they may still require a CIMEA Comparability Report in addition, a process which takes 1-2 months, depending on how much one pays CIMEA. The cost and effort required to "transfer" is very similar to enrolling at UniMarconi and completing all the recorded lectures, completing the exams for each course, submitting the final thesis, and presenting before a commission (a Livestream chat via Teams or similar, I would assume). There are 3 kinds of Italian Master's, all of which are official: 1. A Two-year Master's (Laurea Magistrale) 2. First Level (Master Universitario Di Primo Livello - one year degree; the ENEB/UI1 Titulo Propio, being not official, is not equivalent to the Italian 1st Level Master's) 3. Second Level (Master Universitario Di Secondo Livello (upper/higher level, one year degree) #1 and #3 allow entry into doctorate-level programs, as I understand. Also how would we know for sure if Unimarconi will be issuing a transcript with the diploma, or if we are going to run into similar issues with ECE, who won't do a course-by-course evaluation if the transcript is not issued directly by Unimarconi. We would have to contact ENEB, get their responses, and try to gauge the situation. I am not exactly in the mood for engaging with ENEB, especially after signing up for the UNISEB Convalidation, then learning that their mock-up on the landing page, is not even the actual diploma that will be awarded. The tuitiion is very reasonable, however Unimarconi also provides scholarships for their programs according to their website, and the actual prices one ends up paying, may not be that different from this deal. Due to these issues, I would rather take a programme directly with Unimarconi. I may or may not pursue Unimarconi in the future. RE: ENEB New Master Thread - Kalas - 09-17-2025 Now this is a legitimately tempting offer. The master thesis (do Italians call it a dissertation?) still has to be done so you will have a real research paper to present to doctoral programs demonstrating an ability to do research. I asked ENEB for clarification on what are (for me) the only 3 points that matter: 1. Is the degree Laurea Magistrale, Master Universitario Di Primo Livello or Master Universitario Di Secondo Livello? 2. Will I be provided with official transcripts from Unimarconi after graduation? 3. Will Unimarconi provide letters of recommendation for doctoral programs for students that take this path? ENEB sent me copypasta did that not address any of those questions and a link to the sales page in response. angery.jpg I have not heard back since the second time I asked them to answer the questions I actually asked. I will update the post when/if I hear back. Update: Responses through Whatsapp are at least 10,000x faster than email based on my prior experience. For those holding your breath, no, they don't actually have any information on what you are buying for $2500-3000 (after all expenses/fees are considered) so hurry up and buy it before the price goes up. ENEB said I would get a choice of either a "degree certificate" or a transcript. WTF? This is starting to feel like my initial bait and switch with ENEB (when I was promised a real MBA from UI1, not a worthless PDF saying I studied at ENEB signed by UI1). Aside from the response time, this is starting to feel like typical ENEB in the worst ways. I reached out to Unimarconi's admissions department for clarification. RE: ENEB New Master Thread - SkintGradStudent - 09-17-2025 From my understanding, ENEB is offering a "second level master" (master di secondo livello). Second level masters are NOT equivalent to EU/UK masters within Italy, instead, laurea magistrale is. However, they should be considered equivalent to those within the EU/US. This means that you are not able to do a PhD in Italy with a second level master, but you could do it abroad. I'm not 100% confident but this is what I've been told by my Italian colleagues. This completely makes me rethink about Unimarconi. I thought the completion of both 1st and 2nd level master's in Italy was considered equivalent to the 2-year Italain Master's, but it does not appear to be the case... Unfortunately, despite official status and accreditation, the Italian First and Second Level Master's are professional degrees. Dare I say it, not so much better than a titulo propio in a sense. Maybe nice to learn and have, but if one's goal is to go into a doctorate level programme thereafter, it might not be so good. Then again, I find it hard to believe that a DBA programme in the UK or US wouldn't accept an Italian MBA at the second master's level.. Now, if US NACES FCEs evaluate the Unimarconi MBA as being equivalent to a US RA MBA, then it's good to go for a Doctorate-level program in the US. For direct entry into a DBA programme, one can always go for a Level 8 Diploma, which guarantees entry to several UK DBA programmes. RE: ENEB New Master Thread - huiwh1998 - 09-17-2025 This can be verified through WES (see attachment), but does it really require a bachelor's degree? Also, is proctoring allowed with open notes? I'm thinking of waiting to see how it goes for others first... Also, is proctoring allowed with open notes? I'm thinking of waiting to see how it goes for others first... Having a Canadian equivalency to an MBA is very promising, doess that mean that WES would also equate the Unimarconi MBA as a US RA MBA? On the FAQ section it requires the Bachelor's. The exam doesn't specifically say "Proctored". But proctored exams can be open book, as we've seen in the past with DETC/DEAC-accredited schools. One can talk to Unimarconi admissions directly, they are very strict about the bachelor's degree requirement, and do not accept NACES equivalency reports. Only the CIMEA Comparability Report and/or Declaration of Value from the Italian Consulate are valid for Italian Universities, from what I can tell. "You must have studied (or be currently studying) at ENEB a programme equivalent to one of the four included in the agreement, also if it forms part of an MBA+Master or a Double Master. In addition, you need to hold a completed official university degree (Bachelor’s, Engineering, Licenciatura or Diploma). EU students must provide a copy of their degree, academic transcript and valid ID; non-EU students must present these documents duly apostilled." "The exam is taken online, in webinar format with camera on, lasts 2 hours, there are no penalties for mistakes, and you may use your notes." https://eneb.com/accreditationusd/ RE: ENEB New Master Thread - nykorn - 09-17-2025 Not that you can trust AI, but after copy-pasting the text, AI thinks these are 60 ECTS second cycle degrees (Master Universitario di Secondo Livello), and that they are eligible for a "I graduated from an Italian school and need 12 months to find a job in Italy" visa, and equivalent to a Master's all across Europe. The catch is that to enroll in a Doctorate's or to get a European teaching license, they typically want your Master's to be at least 120 ECTS (and your Bachelor's to be 180 ECTS, aka you would have 300 ECTS total). I checked out some of the Masters directly on the Italian university's website, and if you just want "any Masters", then some of them in non-business subjects are cheaper than this whole rigamarole with ENEB would be, especially if you have already paid for the ENEB agile methodology, diplomas and apostille. As an example, Unimarconi's Education Master's, 60 ECTS, is only 4,000 Euros. https://www.unimarconi.com/english-courses/ Also, I had issues with ENEB on subjects I didn't already know about, because their translations to English were so poor there were some major mistakes that made it really confusing to read the material. I'm not sure if for some people the better option would be to just ignore the whole ENEB partnership and study from Unimarconi directly. I decided I won't be doing this Unimarconi partnership because the ENEB degrees I have chosen aren't any of the 4 degrees they have partnered with. RE: ENEB New Master Thread - PearsonOTHMQualifi7654 - 09-17-2025 Sounds pretty reasonable and accurate. I was told by Unimarconi that all master's level programmes there require a thesis/dissertation and defense before a panel/commission (conversation), so more reason for Unimarconi to award a Secondo Livello, for those who already hold a bachelor's and master's degree. It's pretty reasonable that a Master Universitario di Secondo Livello will equate to a US RA Master's. For someone looking to get into a doctorate level in the US, this would work. Unimarconi From looking at the Unimarconi website not too long ago, the AI summary makes a lot of sense, because there is mention of a Primo Livello and Secondo Livello. Bachelor's is required for a primo livello, and a first cycle master's is required for a second cycle master's (this is stated on the website). Now it all seems to make more sense why I was told that Unimarconi could accept a level 6 + Postgraduate Cert (Level 7) for entry into their secondo master's. Although I personally would rather go to Unimarconi as a normal student for one of their Master's (not an MBA because i'm already working on one elsewhere). If Unimarconi confirms it will award a Secondo Livello and a direct transcript, then for bona fide bachelor's degree holders coming in through ENEB with a titulo propio, this sounds like a solid offer. Today, a member posted here that ENEB confirmed it would result in a Secondo Livello. Still we have no confirmation about the final transcripts. I just don't want to risk not having direct transcripts from Unimarconi. Even if the final transcript was delivered by Unimarconi, in actuality, it really seems like just doing a Master's at Unimarconi, but being referred by ENEB. In the process, the modules done at ENEB are being considered as comparable as having gone through Unimarconi video lectures and practice quizzes, in preparation of the thesis. Just to make sure it's academically valid, the ENEB referred students must also pass a multiple-choice final exam. I would say that it's not exactly a transfer of academic record, more like a referral programme that is being presented like a transfer. UNISEB This makes the UNISEB Convalidation kind of obsolete (for me at this time for validating the MBA), except that convalidation may result in a better transcript, possibly recognized by US FCEs for GPA. (Remains to be seen). Convalidation doesn't cost anywhere near the Unimarconi transfer, however if one were to add the ENEB passport with Apostille or whatever the ISEB/UNISEB equivalent of that would be, it may become about half the cost of the Unimarconi "transfer". Turns out I won't need the convalidation as I am completing an MBA in the UK and won't need the current ENEB Double MBA + Master, nor a Ui1 Validated MBA after it's all said and done. Earlier this year, I had actually wanted to drop the UK MBA programme, take a validated Uniseb MBA, and also complete a Unimarconi Secondo Livello Master's to finish off business studies before moving into a healthcare focused Master's. Unimarconi was not having my application at all, NACES evaluations were not acceptable as I didn't hold an actual Bachelor's. More ENEB? In this process of exploring my options, I also completed a second Master's at ENEB, which initially I had wanted to use as an ECE US RA Bachelor's equivalency that didn't say "MBA" on it. It looks like it also may not serve a purpose, other than the fact that I got much higher grades on this run, so an IEE evaluation will have a higher GPA. ENEB, UI1 wasn't perfect, but it did work Silver lining is that the healthcare master's level programme I do want to go into, the school told me today, that I could skip the ECE evaluation that has no GPA, and simply submit the IEE evaluation of my ENEB/Ui1 MBA+Master, as a US RA Graduate Certificate, as it is a higher award than a bachelor's. The GPA, which IEE stated is, sufficient for admissions. Looks like I can get into that programme after all, but the entire ENEB, Ui1, UNISEB, and Unimarconi experience forced me to go and try to finish up something I wanted very much, which is a UK MBA, and UK Bachelor's degree, as well as its internationally recognized equivalent, a level 6 diploma (also with Levels 4 + 5), by the end of this year. Got a little frustrated with ENEB and Unimarconi during this experience, but everything seems like it will turn out well. Italy has a separate process for what would be equivalent to a US masters degree, and these masters degrees are ranked lower. More like a post-graduate diploma or post-masters diploma. I recommend reaching out to foreign credit evaluators to see; they might all have different equivalencies similar to what we see with UI1/ENEB. |
