Great, thanks for pointing that out. Anyways, for clarification, if people want more of a sure thing: a Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership, is about 950 GBP or more, depending on the teaching center that is authorized by multiple providers (Pearson, OTHM, Qualifi, NCC, ATHE, etc.). They are fully recognized all across the globe as a Postgraduate Diploma because they are regulated by the UK Gov OfQual and they are part of the European Qualifications Framework. Several UK Universities will accept all 60 ECTS towards a full MBA. Once in the actual MBA top up, one completes a Research Methods course and writes a dissertation for the other 30 ECTS to complete the degree. Each University charges their own tuition for the Top Up portion, and they tend to cost from under 5k to over 10k GBP but are not excessive. So if getting a full MBA and also going on to a Doctorate degree is the main concern, this can be a pathway. That's not to say that for $2358 for a 1 Livello MBA or Master's is a bad thing, if that's all one wants, doesn't want to do further study, and doesn't need a FCE Evaluation as a US RA Master's degree. Also we don't know yet how it will be evaluated, and one may argue they might come out similarly as a postgraduate award, but they are accredited and official nonetheless. I want to convert my propios into a 1 Livello, but my current track has made the upgrade unnecessary. As you said, it depends on a person's situation. As for transfer credits, many European MBA programmes take in more than 15 ECTS. Some full MBAs allow the transfer of 3 master's level courses from a PGCert, or PGDip, meaning each course can be 7.5 to 10 ECTS. So 22.5 to 30 ECTS transfer from a PGCert or PGDip into an MBA is quite normal across Europe. Anyways best of wishes to everyone. I am sure that there may be more "deals" to come from ENEB. Interesting, thanks. My Swedish school refused to transfer credits from any other country's university, including other European ones, and including one I went to on an official exchange year from Sweden. However that was at the Bachelor's level not the Master's. They claimed you could get a credit transfer, but when I tried it in reality, everything was rejected in my case. Also please do update the Wiki if you have info not listed on it! Thanks. Sure thing, when I mentioned PGCert and PGDip, I meant the UK awards which are considered unfinished degrees. As they are awards en route to a Master's (or exit awards when a person leaves an MBA programme early without completing) they tend to get accepted for transfer credit / admission. To the European MBA that accepts transfer credits from unfinished degrees, 3 courses max seems to be the norm. Usually the coursework has to be recent (within the past 5 years). For UK MBA Top-ups (There are several offerings from the UK), otherwise known as MBA Advanced Entry, it is customary to accept all 60 ECTS from the Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership) towards it. Level 7 Diplomas are equivalent to a PGDip. The Level 7 Diplomas I have mentioned, do have policies for recognition of prior learning. In my experience, it is customary for Pearson and Qualifi to provide some credit or exemptions for prior learning and experience. OTHM has a policy for exemptions and recognition of prior learning, but I have asked many times to multiple OTHM Training Centres and was told no for both Level 7 and 6. It seems that OTHM has a Policy for it but almost nobody at a training centre is familiar with it. I was able to get 2 course exemptions toward the Pearson Level 7 Diploma, but this was before I had completed ENEB. When I presented my ENEB awards to the Pearson authorized teaching centre thereafter, I was told that I had already reached the max exemptions of 2 course modules. I think that it would be very possible to get a few modules exempted from Pearson or Quallifi. As for ATHE, NCC Education, etc I don't have experience with them. From my perspective, Level 7 Diplomas could be a natural step to "upgrade" a propio as Recognition of Prior Learning, or as Recognition of Prior Certificated Learning/Training/Achievement, to get maybe 2 courses taken off. When one finishes a Level 7 Diploma, it carries 60 ECTS and can to progress to an Advanced MBA for the dissertation stage. The entire combined Level 7 Diploma + Advanced MBA route costs around the GBP 5000-6000 range, and some programmes allow installment payment plans. As ENEB Master's being finished degrees, getting credits toward an MBA through direct admissions to a graduate school might be more of a challenge, however you have nicely pointed out examples of acceptance to programs in Belgium and Slovenia The Heriot-Watt MBA is an example in Scotland, where they will consider exemptions for up to 3 modules from previous study. I have not tried using ENEB courses for exemptions, but it's theoretically possible. Would I recommend Heriot-Watt to anyone? I think it's a LOT of reading, videos, further Live lectures one can purchase, and further condensed Revision Live Sessions which also can be purchased, to finally write a paper within 24 hours from the final exam day, that has 3 questions. One must cover all of the essential topics taught during the long module while answering the 3 questions, which use case studies that are intended to test one's understanding of "What are the issues" and "How do you fix it". It literally takes a couple of months to get through all of the sections in a single module in the Heriot-Watt courses. Can spend 8 hours in a day, for several days, and won't be finished with a module, as an example. It took doing this several times on multiple weekends to get through 1 module (they have tons of Youtube Videos, and hours of content in 1 module). The first 2 questions of the Heriot-Watt final exam for a single module, one can write ahead of time, and will know the 3rd question on the day of the exam. I personally didn't enjoy this at all, but maybe others would like it. A single Herriot-Watt module without live lectures (that's an add-on) costs more than an entire ENEB program. I ended up saying enough is enough and said bye bye to Heriot-Watt. Then immediately enrolled in ENEB for fun and practice, and simultaneously started the Level 7 Diploma to Advanced Entry MBA path at the same time. ENEB was exactly that, fun, and good practice. I got 2 exemptions from Pearson for my old UK PGCert, but nothing for ENEB as I had already "Maxed out", but I think it's worth a try for anyone. NARIC Belgium does not accept ENEB because they also assess the teaching institution itself - ENEB. The institution must be a university recognized by its country, with proper accreditation, and the thesis must meet the academic standards of Belgium. In the past, they had accepted similar cases, but I suspect UI1 wasn't mentioning the partnership on the diploma in the past. One member of this board filed a lawsuit against NARIC regarding a case involving Structuralia and UI1, referencing previously accepted ENEB and UI1 qualifications, but he loses the lawsuit because of Structuralia is not recognized/accredited. RE: ENEB New Master Thread - lillingworth - 10-02-2025 So, I've stepped away from ENEB and the forum for a couple months due to an international move. Is ENEB no longer including UI1 diplomas with their programs? And is it over $7000 to get validated by a partnered university? I feel like I'm misreading something somewhere. Sorry if I've missed something obvious, still getting logged back in to old email and whatsapp accounts so I can only see previews of emails and notifications. ENEB is still providing Ui1 Diplomas as usual 2. In August, ENEB announced a UNISEB Convalidation offer, stating that the previously issued Ui1 Diplomas are university certifications of ECTS. If an ENEB graduate however, wants a directly issued "University-specific degree" instead of a certification, one can enroll for a "convalidation" through Ui1 + ISEB called UNISEB at "60% off from $1400, for only $560." Only the MBA portion done at ENEB is being "convalidated" at this time. ISEB is part of the Namencis education group as is ENEB but most of the ISEB courses are in Spanish except for 1 of their MBAs https://iseb.es/ UNISEB is a collaboration between Ui1 and ISEB. That promotion has ended, and the additional required classes are supposed to start in mid-October with ISEB/UNISEB. Only time will tell If this makes any difference with FCEs. It is supposed to result in a degree issued directly by either UNISEB or Ui1, with transcripts from UNISEB or Ui1. Once people go through it this month, we will have more answers. The convalidation is no longer on offer at this time. https://eneb.com/convunisebusd/ 3. In September, ENEB announced 4 Master's programs that provide accredited, official Master's degrees directly from Unimarconi which are recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR). The programs were announced at a promotional price of $2358 Accreditation Offer from ENEB https://eneb.com/accreditationusd/ Program Page on ENEB site https://eneb.com/training-programs/accredited-masters/ Some people have enrolled, so they will have to share their experiences and results. 4. There's no 7k.There's been a completely different discussion about how the Italian degree may be viewed by educational institutions and FCEs of various countries. As the Italian degree being offered seems to be a Master Universitario di Primo Livello (First Level University Master's Degree) at 60 ECTS, we aren't sure how much acceptance it may bring. However we do know that it is at the very least equivalent to a 60 ECTS Level 7 UK Postgraduate Diploma which has worldwide acceptance and recognition. A Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership qualifies for the final dissertation stage of a full MBA in the UK. A Level 7 Diplomas like this costs about 950 GBP, and to top off with the Final Stage UK MBA (Also known as an MBA Top-up), the total cost is around the 5k-7k USD range. For those who want a "Sure thing" to get an MBA that qualifies for admission to an accredited doctorate, a UK Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership + MBA Top-up is one of the options. Again, the Italian degree on offer, we don't know for sure how it will be viewed by FCEs or other education institutions outside of Italy. Level 7 Diplomas in Strategic Management and Leadership are a completely different discussion and have nothing to do with ENEB. Level 7 Diplomas are awarded by Pearson, OTHM, Qualifi, NCC, ATHE, LRN, or SQA which are UK Government Office of Qualifications (OfQual) regulated entities. RE: ENEB New Master Thread - lillingworth - 10-03-2025 Okay I finally got logged in and can see more information. I'm not really concerned with the Italian degrees at the moment, just the diploma from UI1(but thanks for the awesome summary!!). Previously, I had no issue getting both eneb and ui1 documents but with this most recent round of degrees there's no option to get the UI1 documents and the account says none are available (eneb diplomas already issued months ago). I realize they have switched to a new site for viewing the diplomas so that might be the problem. I've reached out to them to see what's going on but I also remember someone a few months ago being asked to pay for digital diplomas. I don't expect an answer until early next week so we'll see how it goes. Not sure where I got the 7k number unless that's what they say is the "original" price of their programs before discounts. RE: ENEB New Master Thread - icecubetr - 10-04-2025 I submitted a transfer credit request to the UoPeople MSIT program with the IEE evaluation of my master’s in Big Data and Business Intelligence. Initially, they denied my request, claiming they were missing the required document. I then emailed them and resubmitted the same documents. Later, my program advisor informed me that the relevant department had identified only one course—Databases—as eligible for transfer credit toward my program. However, I am already registered for the Databases course and will complete it in a few weeks. They also refused to transfer my Project Management course to BUS 5611 Managing Projects and Programs, even though it is an elective. It seems UoPeople does not accept international transfer credits unless the course name is an exact match, such as Databases. UoPeople has always been strict about transferring courses into Masters degrees, whether international or U.S. That sucks though that you weren't able to take advantage of the one course they were willing to transfer. I suppose you could withdraw and take the transfer instead? RE: ENEB New Master Thread - icecubetr - 10-04-2025 Yes, my program advisor told me that I could withdraw from the Databases course and take the transfer instead, but I won't do that. I'm two-thirds done with the course, and the withdrawal deadline (week 5) has already passed. |
