Graduate Certificates - KagomeH - 05-19-2025 Hello all! Does anyone have any recommendations on decent graduate certificates? I have been working on the ASU Learners certificate and have considered the HAU MBA for now before pursuing a specific path of going into further into Molecular Pathology or a similar route. The HAU MBA feels more like a "personal checkbox" degree for me eventually even if I never pursue a different masters degree program. I will also be knocking out my remaining required science courses quicker thanks for UIU and my community college by December 2025. Between my MLS requirements for ASCP being met by the end of the year, I want to focus my primary studies onto graduate certificate program. However, I am a little concerned I may be "jumping" the gun before enrolling into any proper program even as the HAU MBA. I am not a big fan of UoP so I crossed that off my list. I am also on the fence about any professional educators courses at the graduate level as it seems some schools may not take these as "proper credits." I had considered some of the courses or certificates at ACE as they are a tad cheaper and I can see if graduate level courses are honestly a good fit for me. They are also cheaper than ASU on some of these certificates to convert the ASU Learners certificate over to graduate level courses. TESU also has some decent graduate certificates that seem I could apply to my career/life like Emergency Management or Geropyschology. I could register for individual graduate courses but it seems expensive to not to work towards a certificate at least to "test the waters." Does anyone have a decent recommendations for a RA university that may have certificates related to healthcare (not nursing), business, or leadership they can recommend? My employer will cover certificates for up to $5000. It just has to be able to show "growth." (Basically, I submit the program towards my employer and see if they approve the program.) I can pay the rest of the cost. They did not approve TESU's Graduate Certificate Digital Humanities. The UMPI MAOL seems cheaper but I do not believe I could successfully do the entire program within one or two semesters. At that point, I would be better off enrolled in the HAU MBA if I did an a full masters degree. At this point, I just want to "test the waters" so to speak to see if I can excel at the graduate level itself. Thank you! RE: Graduate Certificates - bjcheung77 - 05-19-2025 UMPI should be a viable option if you do 6 classes / session, that's 2 sessions for all 12 classes... HAU is an awesome option! You have the option of ETAMU and their CBE Masters when they come out. Another option is the WGU Masters, for business, they've got programmatic or secondary ACBSP accreditation. If you really want to just get a Masters degree, UoPeople has the MEd Advanced Teaching (IB) that can't be had anywhere else, their MBA and MSIT are other options if you want to consider them... RE: Graduate Certificates - TINASAM - 05-19-2025 Georgia Southern University has a very good graduate rate for tuition and they have online degrees and certificates if you'd like to browse: https://www.georgiasouthern.edu/academics/programs/online-degrees#programs RE: Graduate Certificates - natshar - 05-19-2025 Check out this: https://www.pearsonaccelerated.com/students/graduate-certificates.html It's through Waldorf University. https://waldorf.edu/ RE: Graduate Certificates - SophiaPrincess - 05-23-2025 Thunderbird has a free, five course graduate certificate in business. If you want a graded transcript I understand the cost is $2500. This is offered through their 100,000,000 Learners initiative. I have been considering this as I started working on it "for fun" in my free time last year. I am also wanting to see what other suggestions people have. HAU has definitely been in my "pocket" so to speak. I'm not sure what I would do with MEd but you have raised some valid points for the "check mark" degree. Thank you for the suggestions. RE: Graduate Certificates - ss20ts - 05-28-2025 Amberton University offers many graduate certificates in business. They're adding a couple healthcare grad certs this fall. Their grad certs can be used to help complete a master's degree. I completed a grad cert with one of my master's degrees there. |
