Getting Credits from SDC and Sophia on a TESU or Liberty Transcript? - acamp - 06-15-2025 Hello all and Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! To begin, I am NOT trying to credit launder (or whatever that phrase is). I am attempting to take as many credits on Sophia (and possibly SDC) and get them transcribed on a TESU (preferably) or a Liberty University transcript. After I compete as many courses as I need on Sophia or SDC, can someone explain how I would get them transcribed on an official transcript from TESU or Liberty? Thanks all in advance!! RE: Getting Credits from SDC and Sophia on a TESU or Liberty Transcript? - bjcheung77 - 06-16-2025 Basically, you won't be able to launder those ACE credits either, as the transcripts would show these as transferred credits. Any newer institution you want to transfer these credits to would need to know where the classes came from, thus, you'll also have to send them your ACE transcript as well... It's pretty straightforward, you apply to Liberty and TESU, send them your ACE transcript, and that's all. There is a fee for getting your transcripts from Liberty/TESU. Some institutions may require you to have completed a class before they process it, you'll have to see what is required from each institution. Okay maybe I didn’t explain myself. I don’t mind sending an ACE transcript to TESU or Liberty. I just don’t know how I would go about getting the ACE credits that I have completed to show up on a TESU or LIBERTY transcript. Is it called credit banking? I forget the name. Do I have to apply and declare a major before they will put my Ace credits on their transcript? That’s what I was asking. Its obvious how after you complete a course. RE: Getting Credits from SDC and Sophia on a TESU or Liberty Transcript? - bjcheung77 - 06-17-2025 It's a waste of extra cash if you're doing a credit bank, I would just apply to the institution, and ask them what email address to send the transcripts to. Here's the credly instructions on the WIKI: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Ordering_Credly_Transcripts Getting Credits from SDC and Sophia on a TESU or Liberty Transcript? - acamp - 06-17-2025 (06-17-2025, 08:46 AM)bjcheung77 Wrote: It's a waste of extra cash if you're doing a credit bank, I would just apply to the institution, and ask them what email address to send the transcripts to. I am not understanding the process I guess. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using DegreeForum.net RE: Getting Credits from SDC and Sophia on a TESU or Liberty Transcript? - jg_nuy - 06-17-2025 For TESU, my son did the following: Sophia - Credly transcript emailed to transcripts@tesu.edu from the Credly website. Study - Transcripts sent directly from Study to transcripts@tesu.edu via the Study website. RE: Getting Credits from SDC and Sophia on a TESU or Liberty Transcript? - bjcheung77 - 06-17-2025 Yes, what jg_nuy typed... Pretty much what I mentioned earlier: I would just apply to the institution, and ask them what email address to send the transcripts to. Don't deviate, I'd keep it simple like that, send it off one transcript provider at a time... Essentially, it depends where you got your credits from, if it's from a college/university or institute, it goes directly from them to the email address you gathered. The same goes for ACE/NCCRS credits as well, from Credly for ACE and direct for NCCRS. To keep things simple, I would put all the ACE credits into Credly, and you send it once, repeat if needed for newer classes added to ACE. NCCRS goes directly from the course provider (example, Davar, LawShelf, Study.com) to the receiving institution. Note: Study.com has NCCRS only classes, like 3-4 of them out of all 200+, the rest are all ACE+NCCRS, that's the reason you have to send the transcripts directly from Study.com and other ACE providers such as Sophia.org, StraighterLine, can all do so from Credly only. RE: Getting Credits from SDC and Sophia on a TESU or Liberty Transcript? - Hotdogman1 - 06-17-2025 ... Look, you haven't explained what you were trying to do with the official transcript. If you're searching for credit banking, open the link: https://www.tesu.edu/about/leadership-departments/registrar/individual-learning-account.php. It has step by step instructions. I'll even copy paste a portion for you.
I agree that it's a waste of money but are you guys sure you can request an official transcript as an Applicant (without taking any TESU courses)? "Transcripts are provided to students who are enrolled students, graduates or were a previously enrolled student. Applicants are not entitled to a Thomas Edison State University transcript, except for courses they have taken with the University as a visiting student." https://tesu.smartcatalogiq.com/current/undergraduate-catalog/university-policies-and-procedures/undergraduate-academic-policies/transcript-evaluation/thomas-edison-state-university-transcripts/. If it is accurate, this is the process for applying to TESU.
