ETAMU Plan - VanillaBean - 07-07-2025 Have a family member who is pursing the Organizational Leadership degree at ETAMU (TAMUC). Here is what transferred in for her in case it is helpful to anyone: Also as a note, ETAMU pulled in grades from Straighterline but not from Study.com or ALEKS so the courses from Straighterline will affect her GPA. 010 English (6) ENG 1301 English Comp I - Study.com English 104 English Comp I ENG 1302 English Comp II - still needs - will take at ETAMU or Study.com 020 Math (3) - ALEKS College Algebra 030 Science (6) ENVS 1301 - Straighterline Environmental Science BSC 1309 - Sophia Human Biology 040 Literature, Philosophy, Culture (3) ANTH 2351 - Sophia Intro to Ethics 050 Creative Arts (3) ART 1304 - Sophia Art History I 060 American History (6) HIST 1301 - Straighterline US History I HIST 1302 - Straighterline US History II 070 Government / Political Science (6) PSCI 2305 - Straighterline American Govt PSCI 2302 Texas Govt - still need to take 080 Social & Behavioral Science Elective (3) - Straighterline Cultural Anthropology 090 Component Area (6) - Straighterline Intro to Communication - HIST 265 Striaghterline Western Civilization Professional Development Electives (48) ACCT 2301 Sophia Accounting Sophia Ancient Greek Philosophers Sophia Conflict Resolution Sophia College Readiness Sophia Intro to Information Technology Sophia Microeconomics Sophia Macroeconomics Sophia Project Management Sophia Visual Communications Sophia Intro to Sociology Sophia Intro to Psychology Sophia Art History II Straighterline Business Ethics Straighterline Principles of Management Straighterline Intro to Business Straighterline Organizational Behavior Straighterline Intro to Religion Straighterline Intro to Nutrition STILL NEEDS: ENG 1302 English Comp II - still needs - will take at ETAMU or Study.com PSCI 2302 Texas Govt - still need to take She still needed 2 upper level courses at ETAMU (is thinking the two below) as well as the 10 applied major courses. CBE 342 Leading Innovation CBE 347 Research Methods ORGL 3311 - Foundations of Organizational Leadership ORGL 3321 - Organizational Communication ORGL 3322 - Organizational Ethics ORGL 3331 - Data Driven Decision Making ORGL 3332 - Organizational Behavior ORGL 4341 - Leadership Theory ORGL 4343 - Leading Change ORGL 4342 - Leading Diverse and Inclusive Teams ORGL 4352 - Capstone I ORGL 4361 - Capstone II RE: ETAMU Plan - SpartacusPM - 07-07-2025 I took Workplace Writing II with Sophia to satisfy ENG 2. Based on the Sophia to ETAMU facebook group, someone mentioned ENG 2 (1302) at ETAMU was similar to Sophia. No idea, about Study. Looks like at ETAMU there were 8 papers plus the final. In a previous post you mention 84 credits were transferred in, then in this post you say the 6 upper level credits are still needed. So if I am understanding correctly. Your family has a total of 14 courses or 42 credits left. Most here and in the facebook group complete the Google Project Management Certificate via Coursera. As fas as Texas Government, just have them take it with ETAMU. It is going to require some work, but it is not overly difficult, expect a college level course...because it is.

RE: ETAMU Plan - bjcheung77 - 08-13-2025 Seems like a good plan, get all that can be done that can be transferred in, then work on the final residency credits at the institution to finish off the degree requirements. Is the Google Project Management Certificate via Coursera something that you think could be completed by the end of August for someone who works full time? I'm not familiar with this certificate so I apologize for the question. My apologies, life has been so very hectic that I did not remember that I had shared this degree plan before I reposted it. RE: ETAMU Plan - VanillaBean - 08-13-2025 My apologies to all - I did not realize I had shared this in another thread. I don't know how to delete this one or I would. My apologies again for the duplicate. It's all fine! Some of the breakdown material may be helpful for a future student. RE: ETAMU Plan - bjcheung77 - 08-14-2025 +1, I agree, merging the thread would have the info all in one place. It's a good potential plan, will be beneficial to use as a guide. |
