My Google-fu did not pull this one up, and it looks perfect. Thank you so much for this. Appreciate it!

if you're looking for 18 credits so you can teach at a high school or a community college or public university then none of those course will be accepted

if you're looking to teach you need Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, Number Theory --- things like that

My admin accepted them for teaching dual credit, but obviously check with institution for which you want to teach. They have the MAT prefix, not EDU, so they were accepted.

RE: 18 Grad Credits Math - pregrad000 - 07-24-2025

Does anyone have suggestion for credit bearing undergrad or graduate math courses that are transcripted with a letter grade?

Ideally in Calc, Linear Algebera and more advanced courses are great too thanks.

Preferably a few on the lower end in terms of cost. Any information is greatly appreciated!

Just wondering... Are these from Fresno, graded or pass/fail?

You can get them on your transcript either way, but you have to request a letter grade at the beginning or it will default to pass/fail.

My local community college despite being under the university system stated that they did not care what the courses were as long as they had the MATH or similar prefix so these would count for teaching math courses at my college as well. As stated, this will depend on the university policies as some schools will not accept these for teaching mathematics at the college level but I am sure a vast majority of school districts will be a lot more flexible for teaching dual credit mathematics courses in high school.

Another option for graduate level math courses is TECH Global University. Even though these are professional courses that are titulo propio, they offer a lot of courses that are mathematical based in education, finance, and computer science at the postgraduate certificate (12 ECTS), postgraduate diploma (18-24 ECTS) and the professional masters degree (60 ECTS) levels. If a foreign credential evaluation turns out as an accredited graduate study equivalent, these could count towards the qualification.
