BSC (Top-up) and Masters with Academic Institute Germany - Maltus - 09-07-2025

I recently found Academic Institute - a German education provider specializing on working people wanting to get a degree via distance learning.
For that they have partnered up with London Metropolitan University - which is also since it is H+ on anabin - so you shouldn't have any troubles with that degree.

They offer one- and two-year programms and also certificates.

Of interest might be the BSc in applied psychologie which is a top-up programm. You can transfer up to 120 ECTS (!) from a discontinued study programm or a previous degree. They don't seem to care what your credits are about, could be anything. This Bachelor takes one or two years and costs 10-11k Euro

The Masters they offer are a bit... different. Cyper-Psychology, Sales Psychology and so on.

Most of the programms are offered in German and English.

All programms take one or two years and cost 10-11k Euro - no matter if you take 1 or 2 years.

I admit: 1ok isn't really cheap, but since you can throw in a lot of credis makes it interesting to me.
What are your thoughts?

Sad to hear...
did he have any credits matching the field of psychology or did he try to get admitted simplyon workexperience?

At least that shows us, that the offer is serious - not just selling a degree for money.

Thanks for sharing. The partnership with London Metropolitan University does make it more credible, and the credit transfer option is definitely interesting. The cost is on the higher side, but for someone looking for flexibility and recognition, it could be worth considering.

Just had a closer look at the B.Sc. Programm. Seems like you have to take 7 Examinations including the thesis, all non-proctored.In addition to the examinations you have to be "active" in the modules - i.e. writing one question into the forums and answering one question with at least 100 words per module.

6 exams at your own pace and one thesis does seem quite good for an accrediated degree from the UK. I think I'd even be willing to pay the 10k for that. Programms in the US I looked at also weren't cheap and here ist seems you get a lot of support from the partner institute.

Only downer is that on the degree there seems to be a small remark "taught in association with Academic institute", but since the degree itselfs from Metropolitan University I think that won't be an issue getting that degree evaluated for use in the US. Or do you think that might be a problem?

I upoladed  screenshots of the studymatrix and the degree certificate - any thoughts on that?
