Looking for an online Master’s in Europe without oral exams – any experiences? - acamaca - 09-11-2025

Hi everyone,
I completed my IT studies in English with 240 ECTS and now I’d like to continue with a Master’s degree, but in a different field. I’m especially interested in law (LLM), public administration or health management, although I’m open to other directions as well if the right opportunity comes up. What matters most to me is that the program is fully online, recognized in Europe, and preferably affordable or even free Big Grin .

I really don’t mind written assignments – I actually enjoy writing – but oral exams and defenses are a nightmare for me. The idea of being judged while speaking is extremely stressful, so I would much prefer programs that rely on essays, projects, or other forms of written work.

Does anyone here have experience with programs like this, or know specific universities that might offer them? Any advice or recommendations would mean a lot. Thanks!

Are you an EU citizen? Did you check Finnish unis like Metropolia, Helsinki, LUT - they might have a program that suits you.

Irish unis also have online options:

I would recommend doing a search on the board, there may be UK Level 7 and 8 Diplomas available for you to ladder into a UK Masters or Doctorate level degree.
