UOPeople data breach? - GoBroncos95 - 10-10-2025 I've been reading on reddit that peoples data has been breached. Anyway to check whether my previous information was compromised? " The post claims the breach contains sensitive information belonging to over 517,000 unique users associated with the university. Part of me is curious, but the other part of me feels lazy to find what might just be my phone number and name at most on there. Anyway to check whether my previous information was compromised? I enrolled for two semesters about 2 years ago and I found that a lot of the discussion points and how they graded my paper was full of AI, which instantly gave me no desire to continue with them lol. Now that there was a data breach I was worried a lot of my information such as my home address, phone, emails, phone numbers werent leaked. I checked my dark web services with NORDVPN (recommended by others on the UOPeople reddit page) and it does not seem like mine information was leaked. RE: UOPeople data breach? - bjcheung77 - 10-26-2025 Oh darn, I hate it when these things happen... Data breach here and there, it's being more common as these criminals are trying to use this data for profit... RE: UOPeople data breach? - question - 11-02-2025 "Someone seems to have run analysis on this data; the findings are quite interesting." "Simone Biles never attended UoPeople" LOL you didn't need a data breach to realize it was an obvious scam. I mean, I'd already called out that fake news from the University of the Pepole, but some die-hards kept insisting that Simone Biles was actually a student there ![]() "I'm more curious about how a person born in 2069 graduated ?" well, after the University of the People handed out diplomas to dogs, graduates born in 2069 don't even raise an eyebrow anymore. If you truely below in this stuff, and have concrete proof, then please email wscuc about it. They gave it RA after all. Please stop annoying us with your (probably paid) hate mongering. I can say I haven't seen any rumors about UMPI giving diplomas to dogs. And WGU, UMPI, and TESU don't have the exact same accreditation. Yes, they're all RA, but they're accredited by different organizations. I'm still shocked that U of the P was able to become RA. Seems like the requirements for RA are slipping as the professors are volunteers and students grade each other's assignments which is just awkward. Maybe these things have changed. Still doesn't sound like a legit university with the name. (Mod note: Or she requested that her data be removed.)" I honestly don't think anyone cares. RE: UOPeople data breach? - Tomas - 11-02-2025 Yes, while nobody knows exact details, most likely only "public contact database" leaked, and that would have excluded info of any students who opted out. |
