Unidema and Harvard Collab Incoming - Kalas - 11-03-2025

Got an email today advising me that an amazing new collaboration with Harvard is coming soon. You may know Unidema as a Spanish school of cheap propio master's degrees regularly featuring every degree they have for less than 100 euros on groupon.es. Unidema is...not exactly a high-end propio, only offering digital participation trophies with no transcripts. You can take the classes for free and only need to pay if you want said digital participation trophy. I tried the international relations course before it was pulled and wasn't particularly impressed. Everything is in Spanish but translates just fine with Google.

I'm not expecting anything useful to come from this, but you never know. If the collab degrees have Harvard's name on them and have a transcript that looks semi-professional it could be worth playing some evaluator lottery. The email is below, as translated by Google.

UnidemaPro (Unidema & Harvard)
The program we never imagined launching
Hi Anon,

I'll be brief. As we mentioned, this email isn't (yet) the important one, so you can leave it on read. The next one probably won't be ?

Launching UnidemaPro, where you can train and get certified by Unidema and Harvard (yes, the most prestigious university in the world according to the Shanghai Ranking), is the biggest event in our history. This isn't just because of the enthusiasm and time we've dedicated to it, but also because of the responsibility we have to do it right.

That's why we need you.
We need your opinion.

It literally takes 30 seconds.

Fill out the survey here (30 seconds)

In upcoming emails, we'll include the entire enrollment process.
It's a unique opportunity that I wouldn't let slip away under any circumstances (for whatever reason...).

Talk to you soon ?

I guess this is something similar to what Woolf offers (my horizons are very narrow, so it is likely other schools do it too).
They offer/resell courses by Harvard Business Impact (a division of Harvard Business Publishing, a not-for-profit, independent corporation that is an affiliate of Harvard Business School) as part of the degree program.

Well I doubt, that you can get a Harvard-degree that way ;-)
I guess they sell single CE-courses, which go under the Harvard-brand. You can book those directly with Harvard starting from 35 USD:

Unidema is doing something with Harvard, or so they say.

ENEB has an “alliance” with Harvard. Doesn’t change much, if anything, about ENEB https://eneb.com/institutional-alliances/: . I expect the same for Unidema

That is a bizarre email.
I'm not sure which is a bigger red flag, that they talk like a kid on tiktok; "you can leave it on read".

Or... the weird pyramid scheme tone of the whole thing; "It's a unique opportunity that I wouldn't let slip away under any circumstances (for whatever reason...)."

Does Unidema programs provide ECTS? The pro version provides the Harvard Certificate, the only difference is that, I don't know if this is going to provide transferable credits into real degree programs. Has anyone done the Unidema programs and tried using a NACES or even Validential to evaluate them for credit? If they provide ECTS and do generate credits, that would be amazing.

RE: Unidema and Harvard Collab Incoming - Kalas - 11-13-2025

Unless something has changed Unidema's programs do NOT have ECTS, or even transcripts. The courses are free and only require payment if you want the certificate of completion. The collaboration with Harvard has bumped the price of the paid option to 299 euros, which now includes separate a certificate of completion for the Harvard Business Impact course bundled with the propio and a redesigned Unidema certificate of completion that is no longer an eyesore.

If someone wants to find out if partnering with Harvard has led them to issue transcripts the email address is info@unidema.com. I wrote to them a couple times to find out if they would be willing to mock up a transcript if I paid the full price for a degree (as opposed to the everything for 90 euros deal on Groupon) and they never wrote back. Since everything from Harvard specifically says Harvard Business Impact there is no chance of it evaluating as a US master's, but graduate certificate could be plausible if a good transcript is available.

Hmm, that just dashed the hopes of this being equivalent to a RA Masters, even though Validential... It may work for graduate credit though using PLA, if it was equivalent to X ECTS, that would have been a selling point and also a great way to get grad credits even though there is a need to have it evaluated later on...

Not possible BJ... they do not offer transcripts. "Courses" are free, but for a fee you get a "badge" for social media. That's all.

No CEs, no transcripts, no degree. In my mind... no point.
