Straighterline classes at TESU - suzycupcake - 11-25-2025 Question please? I have done some new Straighterline classes in the past month and asked for a transcript to be sent to me. I got it and see that they now show the actual number grade on the transcipt. When I got my BALS, it was just pass or fail. Do they now take them as number grades at TESU? No. TESU transcripts post all external credit as “CR” (credit, meaning like pass in pass/fail). RE: Straighterline classes at TESU - bjcheung77 - 11-26-2025 StraighterLine transcripts showed the percentage and the grade for me when I got them a few years ago. I don't think that aspect has changed, most institutions will take these as pass/fail as long as you hit 70% or higher. COSC changed their stance and bumped that up to 80% somewhat recently (like within the last year or two). UMass global still requires it to be 81.5% or higher before they'll take the ACE credit for transfers... I confirmed with TESU registrar this morning that they get the number grade but the classes are still only given a “CR” for credit. If the program has specific advisors (like the nursing school), they can see the actual transcripts sent in from SL with the numbers if they need to refer to them. If your GPA is crappy from your previous school and you are trying to get into a program with prerequisites and do them via alternative credits, your GPA will still be crappy and you’ll have to explain in a personal essay what the deal is. |
