Hi everyone,
I’m in the UMPI Spring 2 term working on the BABA Marketing degree. Because my timeline is very tight, I’ve already finished all of the courses I could complete outside of UMPI and I’m trying to move through the UMPI courses as efficiently as possible so I can receive my transcript quickly.
For those who have already completed these classes, would you be willing to share what the required assignments are like (Milestones and Final Assessments)? I’m hoping to understand the expectations in advance so I can prepare and work more efficiently.
In particular, I’m interested in:
• Typical assignment format (papers, projects, case studies, presentations, etc.)
• Whether there are templates or specific structural requirements
• Key competencies or concepts emphasized in grading
• Any tips for finishing the courses efficiently
Also, I have a PMP certification and was wondering if anyone has successfully used it to request a waiver or transfer credit for Management Information Systems. If you’ve had experience with this, I’d really appreciate hearing about the process and outcome.
Thanks in advance for any insight — it’s greatly appreciated! Heart Heart

PMP Certification will only fulfill BUS141 according to the transfer database.

Did UMPI staff say you maxed your transfer credit? You should still be able to transfer a few of these in, I'd rather get these done on Sophia.org or Study.com and have a max of 10 classes at UMPI. If you have more classes at UMPI, it'll take more time to complete and may cause you to get another session to finish the 13 or so you've listed there.

Funny to think that an industry standard cert only comes over as an intro to project management course lol. IIRC, TESU takes the PMP as a 400 level course (or multiple courses)?

You're right, I still can learn a few courses on other platforms to reach 90 credits. However, the information I found on other forum indicates that other study platforms don't have equivalent courses for the courses I mentioned. I'm confused because sophia and study have some similar courses, at least their names. If I learn these similar course, they will be transfered as business elective, is it useful? I write an email to shool, but school administration says I can confirm courses after I enroll in. I can't wait..

yeah, I have check this link. I'm sure that I can learn 2 courses more on study platform. But I'm not sure courses such as 【BUS1XX Introduction to Business Computing 3 lower Business 109: Intro to Computing】. Does it match specific course in umpi? or just elective?

Ding ding, that's all there is to it, if it doesn't say it's an elective, then it'll show the name it corresponds to when being transferred. Sophia.org and Study.com (for UMPI only) have had most of their classes come in as general education and electives, with some classes that will go into the major or minor. Try to max the classes so 90+ credits get transferred in and then complete the residency requirements.
