Help me writing the competencies? - Terro - 05-17-2026 Hello. I'm taking the Walden Tempo Psychology program currently. I enjoy the content and topics but when it comes to writing I've always struggled and some of the SMEs are more strict then others. I can learn on my own time but I just to get the degree to get a raise at work. Can anyone recommend sites or other sources that'll just help me writing the Competencies? RE: Help me writing the competencies? - wow - 05-18-2026 It sounds like you are asking if you can hire someone to write your papers. If so, the answer is no. This forum is not the place to come for tips on cheating your way through a degree. If that's not what you meant and you are looking for help with researching and writing more efficiently and effectively, Walden itself has a bunch of sources available to students for no extra cost. Check out the library and writing center resources in Oasis. There are links to Oasis in most courses, but especially in the first three competencies of that degree (if you are talking about the master's). In addition to all the written tutorials, videos, and podcasts, there are writing and feedback sessions, research technique sections, and ways to submit drafts for feedback on content or APA style adherence. I have found that most SMEs are also pretty helpful in providing clarification on assignment requirements before submission and, after submission, specific feedback for improving non-mastered assessments if you ask for it. It sounds like you want a college degree but not do the work. No one said college was easy. You can ask Walden about a writing lab so you can improve your writing abilities, but to have someone write for you is unethical and an academic violation which could result in you being permanently expelled. Why risk that? Take pride in your work. You'll appreciate your degree if you put the work into it. RE: Help me writing the competencies? - bjcheung77 - 05-20-2026 It's actually not that hard to complete with CBE options such as Walden. What was your undergraduate degree in and which institution did you get it from? You just need to follow through with the required work, as long as you're doing what the requirements or rubric is, that's all you need, you can try to exceed the requirements for a better grade, but a pass is a pass. Private message me if you need help brain storming on how to complete your assessments and/or assignments easier, faster (effective and efficiently), people stall and that's where analysis paralysis begins as they want to be too perfect... Yes, but ... this assumes that the person understands the material. I think that's where a lot of people get hung up. They go into CBE thinking all they'll need to do is complete a list of tasks like they're checking off a grocery list. Sure, if you already are well acquainted with the subject matter, it might feel like that. But if you're not, you have to actually study before you can check off the required tasks. You have to understand the material. And there are a lot of topics in psychology that are not intuitive or easy to understand without some effort. Plus, you need to apply APA style correctly, which is a pretty daunting task if you don't already know how to do it. The OP stated that some SMEs (subject matter experts, i.e., professors and graders) are pickier than others. This implies that they are turning in assignments and getting them back as "not mastered yet" or "needs additional work." In my experience, SMEs give specific feedback about what the person needs to improve in order to meet the rubric requirements. So the OP has been told what they need to do, but they appear not to want to (learn to) do it ... perhaps because they thought CBE meant "easy" or "low effort." Despite the successes of people on this forum, most people cannot speed through CBE. Doing so generally requires (1) previous knowledge, (2) existing study skills and "plan of attack" prior to starting the degree, (3) temporarily sacrificing things most people don't want to or can't sacrifice, and (4) certain personality characteristics that take time and effort to cultivate. |
