Purdue Global University doctorate - BigJohn1975 - 06-03-2026

Hello,

I am about to finish my second Masters degree from UMPI and I'm looking into Purdue University Global doctor of education in leadership and education.

I'm trying to find more info out about the courses before I decide though. The website has minimal information.
They are 10 week courses.
Can you take more than 1 at a time?
It also says something about getting credit for 30 credits if your Masters degree was in a similar subject but once again, no specifics given.
Looking for info from someone who has done it:
1) How many courses can you take at once?
2) Are the courses self paced like UMPI?
3) How much busy work is each course on average?
4) Is there a dissertation? And if so, are you allowed to do a virtual defense or do you have to go in person?

Thanks
