saw this and thought it might be interesting for anyone in the NYC area who is interested in becoming a teacher 
although these are not teaching positions, they do involve monitoring students 
so they might be useful for someone wanting to gain experience 
also, to become a substitute teacher in NYC I believe you do not need a teacher certificate, but you do have to have a recommendation  
this would be a way for people to get to know you and get that recommendation
