Need tips on registering for first ECE - jkfuss - 10-02-2008 I'm studying for my first ECE (Ethics: Theory & Practice). I'm not ready to take it for another week or so. I went to Excelsior's exam registration page, and went through things up until it asked for payment. I wasn't ready to pay yet, and since that's as far as I can get right now, I wanted to ask a couple of questions. As I understand it, first I pay the $235. Then I get some sort of authorization-to-test form in my email. This allows me to schedule a test within nine months. Am I right so far? Then when I'm ready, do I go to Pearson VUE's website to schedule the exam, or do I do that through Excelsior's site? Anything special I should know about the exam registration process? Also, how much lead time does Pearson generally need before I can get an appointment? Finally, if I want to buy the practice exams, I go back to Excelsior's site and do that there. I can take each of the two exams once only. Also, I can only do that after I have the authorization. Does that sound right? Are there any other things I should know about? Thanks very much for your help. I hate spending $235 without being sure of exactly what happens after I make the payment.
Need tips on registering for first ECE - ali4nia - 10-02-2008 Once you paid Excelsior for the exam, usually 12-24 hr later you can go to your pearsonvue profile (make one if you dont have one) and see the exam which is ready to be scheduled then you can come back and change the date as you like as long as you are within 24h of the scheduled exam. |
