Can't edit my posts - - thatbrian - 01-08-2009
I can never edit anything on this darn forum. Have the same trouble on mac and PC. Also, Firefox and IE.
Anyone else has the same problem?

I use Safari on my mac and I never have problems. At work I use IE on PC, no problems as yet.

Are you logged into IC ? The only time I see the edit option for my postings is when I am logged in. If I am viewing the site without "logging in " , I am not able to do any editing.

Yes. There is a way that I do it you could try. First, post. Then, back space on your browser to pull up your post-in-progress. Edit. Post again. Go into the thread and delete the first post. LOL It should work! I do it that way all the time, but you have to be fast, I think within 10 minutes.

Sorry, my question was not specific enough. I can't edit my writing BEFORE I post! If I want to go back to change a spelling or rearrange a sentence, I can't. My cursor only goes to either the beginning or end of what I written.

Wow, that's strange- I can't help you there.
(but am impressed at how well you type without the back space key or spell check! Mine would be a mess!!)

Fixed it. The problem was in the settings/options. I had the message editor set to "advanced" WYSWYG. After changing it to "standard" it works fine.
