For those of you who have taken CLEP Precaculus.... - Levi - 01-08-2009 I checked in the specific exam feedback section for CLEP Precalculus.....(I always think of dental plaque).....and only three people have left feedback for that exam. I know that there are more of you out there that have taken this test. Do you have any advice or heads-up you can give me? Thanks. For those of you who have taken CLEP Precaculus.... - ImRaddDuhhh - 01-08-2009 This is my next test. I want some feedback too, please.
For those of you who have taken CLEP Precaculus.... - newoods5150 - 01-10-2009 Have you looked into using ALEKS? I used ALEKS to study for the exam and passed with a 63. However, there have been recent posts about only having to complete 70% of the ALEKS program to receive ACE credit. If I had known about this I wouldnt have taken the clep. If your school will accept ACE credit I would seriously look into it, and if not, for $20 ALEKS is still a great way to study for the clep. For those of you who have taken CLEP Precaculus.... - paladinw94 - 01-10-2009 I didn't want to say anything because I failed it. Actually, I don't remember too much about it. I ended up taking a TESC class instead. I will say that I probably would have passed if I had known functions better and trig. My problem was that I had a general idea of all the areas covered, but I knew how to solve very few.Really study and really understand the concepts mentioned on the practice test and you should pass. I didn't use any of the normal material for this. And be sure to understand and be able to solve function problems. This is about all I remember, for whatever it's worth. Sorry about that. For those of you who have taken CLEP Precaculus.... - Professor_Adam - 01-10-2009 I didn't take the Precalculus CLEP. But, IMHO, for your money and peace of mind you can't beat ALEKS Precalculus. I did it in three weeks, paid $20, and it's on my transcript. Never had to "sweat it out" on exam day. If you take ALEKS you KNOW you're getting the credit as soon as you hit 70 percent. It's the best deal going. For those of you who have taken CLEP Precaculus.... - ImRaddDuhhh - 01-10-2009 Professor_Adam Wrote:I didn't take the Precalculus CLEP. You'll want to search the thread "Best online algebra course" and search "ALEKS" or my posts. There's a lot of info on the forum already. I am very interested in ALEKS Pre-cal, but wasn't there some kind of controversy regarding whether the ALEKS credits would be eligible to transfer after January 2010? This is probably my only concern, since I may not be enrolled in college until 2010.
