natural sciences/math BA thomas edison - creationstory - 01-15-2009 does anyone have an idea if (1) physiological psychology can be considered to be an upper level science? Physiological psychology - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia thomas edison considers it to be " PSY-374 " Physiological psychology is a subdivision of biological psychology that studies the neural mechanisms of perception and behavior through direct manipulation of the brains of nonhuman animal subjects in controlled experiments.[1] Unlike other subdivisions within biological psychology, the main focus of physiological psychological research is the development of theories that explain brain-behavior relationships rather than the development of research that has translational value. It is sometimes alternatively called psychophysiology, and in recent years also cognitive neuroscience. thomas edison considers it to be " PSY-374 " and is (2) statistics for social sciences considered to be upper level math credit? thomas edison considers it to be "soc-325" Thomas Edison State College | BA in Natural Sciences/Mathematics Credit Distribution i thought it could be argued.... any opinions? natural sciences/math BA thomas edison - cookderosa - 01-16-2009 If TESC already assigned course numbers, that's what they will use. Question- is your stats from ALEKS? natural sciences/math BA thomas edison - creationstory - 01-16-2009 cookderosa Wrote:If TESC already assigned course numbers, that's what they will use. I realized that they have assigned course numbers, but i thought it could somewhat be argued. natural sciences/math BA thomas edison - cookderosa - 01-16-2009 creationstory Wrote:not at all... I had 2 issues that I took as high as I could (Dean of Haven school) and both came back as "no" - but that doesn't mean that will be your outcome. One, I took a 200 level class locally that TESC brought in as a 100 level- thus screwing up my "in concentration" course plan big time. I found at least 10 other colleges with the same description that had it as 200 and even a few 300 level- no luck- in the end I was told "we have a book that we use, and we go with that" (what book? who knows) The other was regarding credit for teaching which has nothing to do with you, so I'll spare you the details lol. You could try! natural sciences/math BA thomas edison - creationstory - 01-16-2009 cookderosa Wrote:>> that doesn't sound good at all... so i guess i might have to take principles of statistics..... or maybe....... i can take the alecs course... natural sciences/math BA thomas edison - cookderosa - 01-16-2009 creationstory Wrote:that doesn't sound good at all... so i guess i might have to take principles of statistics..... or maybe....... i can take the alecs course...>> If you took/passed behavioral stats, you might whiz through ALEKS intro stats in under a week- really. It might not be bad. (plus, remember ALEKS is open book and untimed- and you only need 70%) natural sciences/math BA thomas edison - creationstory - 01-28-2009 cookderosa Wrote:>> spoke to someone at TESC. the STAT for social science will count as a math class for the natural sciences and will count as a 200 level. the physiological psych may count as a science but i have to provide the course description for the course. which is what i am doing... natural sciences/math BA thomas edison - cookderosa - 01-28-2009 creationstory Wrote:spoke to someone at TESC. the STAT for social science will count as a math class for the natural sciences and will count as a 200 level.>> This is exciting news!!! natural sciences/math BA thomas edison - creationstory - 03-11-2009 creationstory Wrote:spoke to someone at TESC. the STAT for social science will count as a math class for the natural sciences and will count as a 200 level. physio psych may count as a natural science, social science or bio class |
