Just a word of advice, if your goal is to CLEP out, just pick one exam and go through the process of using InstantCert (IC). Develop a study pattern, take the exam and proceed to loftier goals.
I back up IC with Wikipdia or a trip to the local library.

That's great advice,
It's much easier to tackle one exam than it is to try to prepare for five or six all at once. Just focus on one exam first. Forget the others for now. Get your feet wet and see how you do on the first one. Then you can set your next goal and aim for that.
It's easier to climb a ladder one rung at a time, than to try and do it in one gigantic step. You are still making progress, and still moving higher. But you are much less likely to fall and hurt yourself!
