Can someone please tell me how Dantes Tests are scored? I know you are not penalized for getting a question wrong. So does that mean your score is how many questions you answered correctly? I took the test today and just wanted to know how the scoring works. Thanks in advance!

On the DSST Ethics in America, I was told that I needed a 400 points to pass and the test was worth 500 points overall. As far as how they actually scored the test, I don't know.

Thanks. I called Prometric and they told me to go to getcollegecredit .com and click on the technical bulletin on the right hand side. It helped me understand that the scoring is complicated and there is no way I can figure it out. They use a formula and give questions weights. Oh well.

Something I learned from hanging out here is (someone please correct me if this has changed) if you correctly answer a bit more then half the questions on cleps/dantes then you will pass.
