Ethics in America DSST - Donna709 - 03-18-2009 I am having some trouble studying for this the Ethics in America DSST. In particular, getting all of the philosphers and their theories down. I have been using a Pass Your Class study guide, but found I was not getting everything, so I signed up for Instant Cert and have just started going through the questions. Does anyone have any advice about how to be succcessful on this exam? I'm taking it on Monday ... hopefully! Donna Ethics in America DSST - martialartist - 03-18-2009 Instantcert will be more than enough for you to get a very good grade.... I just took this a week ago and passed with a 453.. best wishes Ethics in America DSST - gregjohnson - 03-18-2009 As I mentioned in an earlier post, don't feel alone- many of our politicians and bankers have the same problem in absorbing the Ethics information..... Hope this helps, Greg Ethics in America DSST - Joel - 03-18-2009 Don't sweat this one...I took it cold this morning and passed with a 447. Not a difficult exam. Ethics in America DSST - demcl - 03-18-2009 I just joined on Monday and been studying like crazy... I haven't taken the test just yet but signed up for March 24th... As you continue to read and study the flash cards it starts to make more sense... I am not sure if I am going to be ready on March 24th... I might even take time off from work just to study... right now I am all over the place... i feel the pain! Ethics in America DSST - rileychica - 03-18-2009 I too posted that I was having trouble studying for Ethics in America... so much so that I postponed it TWICE! Once I sat down for this test, and answered the first three or four questions... I felt silly for postponing it twice. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Honestly, IMHO the feedback from other members and a thorough reading of IC material are enough to pass this test without too much worry. I went through each set of flashcards once (spread over 6 weeks) and then I used Wiki to look up terms/people mentioned in the posts the night before the exam. I figured that since I didn't study, and the material was supposed to be difficult; it was certain that I was going to fail BUT if I didn't show up I'd lose my money... so I decided to just give it a go - either way I was out $80. Imagine my surprise that the test wasn't as difficult that I had scared myself into believing and I even managed a PASS! The bottomline is that as long as your understand the concepts and terms you've conquered the hardest part of the exam. The rest of it is just knowing the person associated with the theory... For that I highly recommend reading the feedback in the subscribed members section. Good Luck! Ethics in America DSST - Donna709 - 03-18-2009 Thanks, everyone. Your posts were very encouraging. I started going over the questions today on instantcert, and hope to do so each day until the test ... which hopefully I'll take on Monday. The trick for me is scheduling. I'm in the process of finalizing two papers, trying to write a another final comprehensive paper, and preparing to take a final ... all for next week. ![]() I was really getting worried about this test and your posts really helped! Thanks so much for your support! Donna Ethics in America DSST - demcl - 03-18-2009 Does anyone know how long it takes to get the DSST results from the exam? If computer based you should get it as soon as you finish Ethics in America DSST - lmech - 03-19-2009 By the way, thanks for the feedback guys! I'm taking this one Monday and feeling the same concerning some of the Kantian issues. |
