I just came from taking this exam,and,despite all the favorable comments on the specific exam thread,it didn't work out for me..or so it seemed. I have taken atleast 12 tests before and done well on all,but this is the first one i may flop! I used 'pass your class' booklet thorougly and was quite confident going in,but it did not take long before i realised it wasn't for me. I guessed 80 % of the way,most of it very 'uneducated' guesses.The only part i found easy was the grammatical questions. I don't know what went wrong but i feel terrible.I hope it can suprise me when the results come..thats my only hope,otherwise am already planing for a replacement test.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with this test.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that maybe you did better than you think, and you'll pass!
One quick question: What was the format of the test? All multiple choice? Short reply? Long essay?

My test had 100 questions,all multiple choice; there was an optional essay which i did not take as it is not required at EC.

So you had to wait for the test results? You don't get them right after the test-like on the the clep tests? I haven't taken a dsst yet. This will be my first!

This will be my first!Some DSST test centers only offer the paper-based exams. The internet-based exams give you an instant score and all the angst that goes with it.

My test center is still paper and pencil for DSST but i like the atmosphere and the fact that i walk 5 mins to there!
My wait this time was exaggerated only bcoz the new test adm. did not know she needed to indicate a certain code to enable me to receive a free transcript. Actually i had taken 3 exams b4 i realised this and ordered a $20 transcript that arrived y/day.
normally it takes close 2 two weeks to get my results.
