This sucks.....but its kinda cool - campbell0021 - 06-17-2009
I was taken Anthropology this morning was feeling pretty good during the exam. I was on question #60 or so when it froze on me...so the guy comes and puts me on other computer. So I continue on and it continues to freezebetween questions. So this is upsetting me and getting me off my focus. So we switch computer serveral more times same result. So he took me into his office while the time on my test continues to go, so we call DSST and they say there server is not working properly and come back at 1300 to start the test over since my time had only 23 mins left.
I really dont know how to feel accept to drive on. I did get a feel for the exam and its not easy but not totally diffcult. I do remember alot of the questions...so I can review those that I was unsure of, also whenever I sit down and start the test I write down a piece of paper what I know for most part. The testing guy said I can still use my paper @ 1300
I will leave some feedback on test # 1 and let you know what happens this afternoon

That is a tough situation to be trying to take a test in. I'm glad that you will get some time to regroup. I'm also glad that you will get to try again today and not have wasted your study time.

The same thing happened to me during Environment & Humanity...every few questions, the proctor had to log me out and back in to "unfreeze" the program.

They said this had started yesterday afternoon. They had a student in at 9:00 a.m. and I was scheduled for 11 a.m., but the person at 9:00 a.m. had the test freeze on them 3 times.
I was greatful for the courtesy call and have rescheduled for about 10 days later.

I'm reading about issues with the DSST server and some people having issues with their exams freezing or being rescheduled. I'm wondering if this is happening everywhere or just in a localized area? I have 2 exams scheduled for Friday and I'm wondering if I should cancel them or if my test center will know about these issues to call ahead of time. They only allow tests on Monday and Friday so if no one tested recently they might not be aware to call me. I'm going to call them tomorrow, but was wondering who was having these issues.

No, the Exam guy told me he has put in a "irregularity report" to DSST and I will get an e-mail saying I can retake :mad: Now this really sucks

I recieved the e-mail that I could retest again and passed with a 52! (Thank God) I gotten the same exact test questions in a different order. I dont know if I lucked out or Genereal Antropology exams do not have alot of variations of the test. The questions are worded tricky so read carefully. If you are looking for additional Social Science credits take a shot. Thanks for all the support. I will add more to the feedback section. Thanks again!!
