From HS Degree to PhD for Kev - HawkGuy - 10-15-2009 It's good you have a plan. Just realize that your plans can and will change on you. In my BA alone, I think I switched majors 3 or 4 times haha. For ASU, is that Arizona State, Alabama State, Arkansas... ? It's just me, but I would stay away from places like Capella, Walden, UoP, Argosy, etc... There are plenty of good online graduate programs from 'named' schools out there. From HS Degree to PhD for Kev - kevin7314 - 10-15-2009 HawkGuy Wrote:It's good you have a plan. Arizona State University Any suggestions on how to find online programs from named schools? Is there a guide? Check out Jonnie's Distance Learning Page for online education degrees. From HS Degree to PhD for Kev - HawkGuy - 10-15-2009 This link is for Doctorates. The above link is for Masters programs. Jonnie's Distance Learning Page From HS Degree to PhD for Kev - nj593 - 10-15-2009 I would have to agree with Hawk. I am a UOP graduate and while a very easy degree that school is VERY expensive. Capella and Walden are even worse when you are talking about Grad school. As for UOP grad school their degree programs are worthless and cant get you a license in anything. I myself am still in the air about attending an online school after my bachelors degree unless they have a b and m to go with it. But that is because of my degree pursuit. Anyway I would stay away from the 3 schools UOP, Capella and Walden because of the price and degree offering's. Even Drexel online is expensive as hell. HawkGuy Wrote:It's good you have a plan. From HS Degree to PhD for Kev - tbradford1 - 10-16-2009 I would be careful about saying those schools can't get you a license in anything. While I agree that they are overpriced and may not be worth it for everyone, I am finishing my CPA license after going to the University of Phoenix for my MBA in accounting. If I had it to do over again now I would go elsewhere, but it gave me the credits I needed to sit for the exam. Unfortunately that was the only option available online at the time (that I knew of anyway). Also I'm not trying to say bad things about the program. Actually my classes were challenging and the way that UoPx structures their online classes is superior to what I've seen elsewhere (community colleges seem to really struggle with this), but the name of the college overshadows its good attributes.

I wasn't able to look through all links and the page is no longer available... teaches me to save pages and info that might be useful. |
