How exactly do they calculate the CLEP score? - kelsey06 - 10-22-2006

It's not a point for each question, right? I'm just trying to get a mindset of how many i need to get correct for a test w/ 98 questions. I'd appreciate your help if anyone knows!

Hehe! You have asked a question about the second most closely guarded secret in the entire world. Smile AFAIK, the College Board does not disclose exactly how the scores are calculated. However, since scores are on a scale between 20 and 80, and the typical passing score is 50, the consensus is that if you can successfully answer 50% of the questions, you will just barely pass.

PS. Welcome to the board!
