Taking the DSST Art of the Western World test tomorrow. Didn't get nearly as much studying in as I would have liked...will be reading the AP Art History book tonight and going through some of the practice questions. Will that be enough to get me a passing score?? I'm not taking it cold...but it's pretty darn close to that!
If you've taken this specific test, please tell me if you think I have a good chance of passing. Is this an easier, more straightforward test? I got a 71 in Humanities (I think)...is that a good sign??

Also, think about the past: have there been other tests where you didn't feel prepared and wished you had studied more even after you took the test? Putting off the test is better than barely squeaking by, in my opinion.

I would rather not put it off...I'm trying to get everything done before our family leaves on vacation in a few weeks. I want to get all of this TESC stuff out of the way so I don't have to worry about it...
I took the sample questions - there were 12, I got half right. I have 3 hours to study, I think I'm just going to study hard and go for it. Passing score is a 48...I think it's doable. I remember not being very ready for HG&D but I still managed to squeak by with a 60+ score. Hopefully it'll be the same in this case...?

I would, but I have no time.
Test is in less than 2 hours...I'll be getting ready to go in about an hour. I'm writing out important information that I'll need to know, based off of the test outline. I'll let you all know how it goes once I'm done. I do have one question...the test is computerized, but do I still have to wait a few weeks for results? Or will it show up right away?

I passed! I got a 66. What I did with my limited study time: read the wikipedia article on western art. Read through the AP Art History study guide. Used the accompanying CD to familiarize myself with famous works of art. Looked up some other images on Google. Skimmed through the study guide again and wrote down important people and movements (the act of writing it down really helps establish it in my mind!!). Ate some food, played a little piano to relax myself...and then took the test!! And passed! Whew. What a relief to get that over with. I was tempted to reschedule, but am glad I didn't. Now onto Natural Sciences..and then I'll be ALL DONE!! Thanks everyone for your encouragement and advice.
