My education center offers the Principles of Financial Accounting DSST, but I see no study materials on this website. My library has the "Official DSST Guide", you know the one with the reddish cover, for the course, but if it's anything like the Technical Writing one, it's nothing more than a waste a trees and space. Anyone taken it or know where I can find good study materials for it? Thanks

I'm planning on taking this on Tuesday. I'm studying using Principles of Accounting and Instacerts.
Does anyone know what is the time limit and I've also heard that DSST allows a basic calculator for this. It that correct?

Principles of Financial Accounting is half of the current CLEP exam. (The other half being Managerial Accounting). I took the CLEP as it was worth six credits and covered two required classes for me. I don't remember when but soon the CLEP will only cover Financial Accounting as well leaveing Managerial Accounting as a lower level requirement with out an exam.

I know, I recently took the CLEP version and failed by 1 point. I have to go this route or wait 6 months, which I don't wanna do.

The CLEP Principles of Accounting will no longer be availible after June 30, 2007. Thats the official word anyways.
