OK... So I have already clep'd macro & micro econ with a 72 on both. It took me about a week of studying on both without any prior knowledge. So is the humanities test doable in two-three weeks time? What is some good material to study from? Is it worth 6 credits?

Yes it is worth 6 credits. I used 'cracking the clep' book. And read the specific exam feedback forum. You just have to join IC for $20 per month.

I also found the 'search' button invaluable.
You will find that most questions have already been asked before.

But then the forum will die, I'm helping the forum by keeping it up-to-date, instead of reading post from 2006 that might not be relevant anymore Smile. How much time did it take you to study for it, and is 2-3 weeks time frame a realistic goal>?

I know you weren't asking me particularly, but I'll answer anyway. Big Grin I studied for about a month with some prior knowledge, particularly in music. I think that 2-3 is a very realistic goal, particularly if you'd be content with a score in the lower to mid 60s - something I think is very doable if you study well.

Hope it goes great! (And don't forget about taking practice tests, one of the best ways to prepare for a test like this that has so much trivia.)

I took this test a couple months ago. I had NO prior knowledge and passed in 2 weeks time. IC, making flashcards, and practice tests will be your friend for this test. My specific feedback is around here somewhere on the forum. It's definitely doable - and worth the 6 credits. Good luck!

Are the COMEX and REA humanities CLEP books the only all inclusive books for this test. Would you recommend one over the other. I see mixed reviews on both at amazon.
